Epithelial cells Epithelial cells provide lining to surface of body whichprovides protection from external environment. These cells servefunctions such as secretion, sensing, selective absorption, and trans-cellular transport. The functionality is provided by their structuralvariation. For instance, epithelial cells in ciliated epithelium havehair like structure so that particles can move in and out of the body. Fat cells The function of fat cells is to give triglycerides so thatinternal working of the body and all other physical activities can befuelled. The layer of this cells also helps in keeping body warm andto act as cushion or supporter to vital organs and as shock absorber.Fat cells have structure similar to bulbous little sphere. The bulk ofthese cells consist of triglycerides droplets each of which has threemolecules of fatty acid attached to one molecule of glycerol. Thisstructure helps cells to assist body in its energy requirements. Aebersold, R. and Mann, M., 2016. This cells in a tissue are notidentical but they work together toaccomplish specific functions. Cells is veryimportant to building living things. Thehuman body is composing of trillion ofcells all with their own specialisedfunction. Without cells in organs theycould not develop a living organism. Thereason cells is the only thing which helpsto create human body and take innutrients from food and carry outimportant functions. In human body fordigestive system Islet cell is very muchnecessary and significant to sustained thehuman body effectively good. Islet cell isof three types designated alpha, bet anddelta which constitute about 2 percent ofthe total pancreatic mass. In total of Isletcells in this 35% part of Alpha. 60 percentpart of beta and 5 percent part of delta.Sperm cells The sperm cells perform the function of transmittingbiological information for producing new organisms. Sperm cells areresponsible to fuse and reach ovum so that it can deliver male pro-nucleus and centrioles. The nucleus of these cells is surrounded byacrosome which contain an enzyme which assist in penetrating femaleegg. The tail or flagellum of sperm cells is capable to have wave likemotion and are longest part of cell. This structure allows sperms toswim and support the penetration of egg. Nerve cells (neurons)Neurons are responsible for providing cellularcommunication by the means of nerve impulse or electric signals sothat effector organs can provide quick response to appropriate stimuli. The long and extended shape of neurons (dendrites and axon) helpsthem to reach other cells so that electrical and chemical messages canbe transmitted quickly. The axon in neuron have covering of insulatingmaterial called myelin sheath so that speed of communication can beincreased. The most fundamental biological, functional and structural unit of organisms is known as cell. They provide structure to body and perform various specialised functions such as reproduction, growth, apoptosis, signal transduction and metabolism for sustaining life. Red blood cells (RBC)RBC performs the function of carrying oxygen from lungs to tissues and carbon dioxidefrom body tissues to lungs. Thus, they deliver nutrients to body cells and carry metabolic wasteaway from them. These cells consist of haemoglobin which provides blood its colour and helpsoxygen to enter blood vessels. The flexible disc like structure enhances surface volume ratio sothat diffusion of oxygen and carbon dioxide can take place more easily. Present poster will briefly explainabout the term biology which includes thestudy of human being. Organism are made oforgan system which are made of organs whichare made of tissues which will be discuss inthe further slides. INTRODUCTIONSTRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF DIFFERENT HUMAN CELLSPOSTER-1
