John Lewis Partnership is the retail giant which was founded in year of 1864. The
company was headquartered in United Kingdom. The organization exports the products to more
than 50 countries all over the world and operated online business, 50 John Lewis shops and 353
Waitrose shops, Stores of John Lewis offer the home furnishings like pillows, duvets, curtains,
furnishing fabrics, voile services and roller blinds. The services consist of nursery advisory and
personal styling (Sammour et al. 2020). The store deals also with gifts, catering concessions as
well as several financial products which includes home, pet, car, wedding and travel insurance
along with foreign cards and currency.

Introduction of pin and chip makes this easier to customer in paying for the items as well as
prevents them to have carried loose change. John Lewis grasped technology’s impact and set up
huge online website where customers could register accounts, post feedback, order products and
speak to all other people of forum. In order for doing this, John Lewis had to employ massive IT
team for setting up every network and host server, along with maintain standard of servers and
websites (Pan, Chen and Zhan 2019).
Economic
Whole economy of UK is facing very sensitive and recession to changes in rates of
interest of John Lewis. Rigid competition in retail sector’s every sector led to the retailers
providing huge incentives for customers. John Lewis would be influenced by this as process
should be driven down during maximum time.
