INTRODUCTION
Expansion of business refers to change in plans and policies through which operations of
association can be expanded in more than one country. In this report there is discussion about
decision taken for expansion of business. This report is based on HC Securities which are trying
to analyse different countries for expansion. In order to expand business, different locations are
analysed to choose best among them (Gourlis and Kovacic, 2017).
a) Identified decision making issues/problems
As per case study, HC Securities does have ability to understand changes which are
taking place in external market. As per Hussein Choucri, there is more group prospects outside
Middle East and North Africa (MENA). There is issue to manager of HC Securities an
Investment regarding expansion of business or not. Hussein Choucri have dilemma whether to
expand business or not and in case business of securities expands, then in which country or
region such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Asian Pacific countries, etc. HC Securities, deal in asset
management, security brokerage and investment banking. Manager of HC Securities Hussein
Choucri have planned the best way out of it because there are many changes taking place in
external market.
b) The cause and effect of the identified problems
The cause behind this specific reasons are here is more growth prospects for
understanding changes in better and relevant manner. In order to make clear understanding about
changes taking place in external market (Iritani and et. al., 2015).
As per case study, there are opportunities of business growth at Egypt because they can
grow their business through expanding their portfolio. There is stake of 30% of National
Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia. As per case study, due to over thrown of president of
Egyptian country so there is issue in expansion decision of HC Securities and Investment. At
Egypt, financial buyers of services are from external countries such as Kuwait, Saudi Arab, etc.
At this country, there is requirement of excellent local partner which provide information about
consumers. As per market of Asian Pacific, there are two more partners with HC Investment and
Securities i.e. Ivory Capital Asia and TC Capital. Manager of HC Securities are acknowledged
that if partner has good record in industry, then they are able to make distinct image in industry.
So both partners Ivory Capital Asia and TC Capital are able to understand changes change in

external market and hence there is possible expansion at China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea,
Vietnam, etc.
Now there are two options for HC Securities i.e. Hong Kong and Singapore for
Expanding business in different countries.
With accepting Hong Kong, there is market of China which has strong financial position.
This also helps to cover Middle East and North Africa. Hong Kong is the country which is
economical point to be entered at China, but there are some political challenges. There is free
trade policies at Hong Kong which reduces possibilities of tariff and other duties (Schiebahn and
et. al., 2015). People of Hong Kong are hard working but at the same time, they are impatient
and aggressive. There is benefit of super vision, transparency and disclosure about working style
of HC Securities which makes it easy to create faith among people and expansion of business is
possible.
While in Singapore, there is good scope for hospitality sector, hence foreign currency
provides scope for growth of HC Securities and Investment. Singapore market has policies which
have policies for conducting operations. Investors of Singapore have faith in intellectual property
which is specific for getting positive outcome. Literary rate at Singapore is good so it is easy to
them understand about policies related to legal norms. As per case study , it is clear that there is
collectivism according to Hofstede Model, so people make good relationship with business
firms.
c) A decision on the root cause(s) of the identified problems
From the above mentioned option, best among them is Singapore. With good financial
position of country, there is requirement of familiar nature which assist in getting business group.
After death of Prime Minister of Singapore, there is environment of bureaucracy free country,
stable economy, free from corruption, etc. This helps HC Securities to make proper rules and
regulations for organisations working at international level. In order to deal with changes in
better and effective manner, it is important to consider changes which provides competitive
environment at country. Financial position of Singapore is good and robust because there is
proper and effective planning (Sindhu, Nehra and Luthra, 2017).
As there is more scope of hospitality sector, so it is easy to understand changes which are
specific and relevant for analysing changes in better and relevant manner. There is positive
impact on economy of country which is specific in content of change. As hospitality industry

requires good amount of financial business to HC Securities, so it is easy to understand changes
which are taking place in external market. When tourist get proper services for currency
exchange, financial assistance, etc. then it is helps to social and economic growth of country. If
HC Securities operates in developed economy, then there is growth to business as well (Vollaro
and et. al., 2015).
d) Recommended solutions to the identified decision-making issues/problems.
There are some recommendations which has to be followed by manager Hussein Choucri
to get positive impact on their business while expanding at Singapore.
 Employees must provide trained regarding working under different country. In order to
get positive impact on performance of country, manager must motivate them by
providing financial or non financial benefits.
 There must be hiring of legal advisor who provide information about change in legal
practices of country. So manager of HC Securities and Investment, Hussein Choucri
assist in smooth running of business.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it is clear that dilemma of Hussein Choucri gets resolved by
selecting Singapore a country of expansion. This can be done with considering all the factors of
international trade. Employees participation and motivation helps to get positive impact of
