There are many terms that make up the concept of performance management. The performance appraisal system is one of the main components of performance management. The Health Department in Peshawar has been analyzed and studied in detail. Below you will find an analysis of the major findings. The report provides an overview of the conditions of the departments and the level of employee satisfaction. It shows the differences and problems between each department in Pakistan. In addition, the findings indicate that the current Performance Appraisal system is not adequate.

ABSTRACT
In today’s fast paced world the competition is getting more complex. Every
industry all around the world, in its quest to reach the top and gain the highest
profit margin is fighting with its competitors for all kind of resources which are
obviously less than what the needs are. In such a race to get the maximum
quantity and the best quality of resources the major problem is to get the required
skilled human resources. The research has some limitation as well which should
be highlighted here for better understanding of the whole content.
The concept of performance management is a very broad concept with a numbers
of terms constituting it. One of the major constituents of the performance
management is the performance appraisal system. Health Department in Peshawar
were analyzed and studied in detail. The major findings are concluded and
analyzed below. It gives an idea about the conditions of the departments and the
level of employee satisfaction in different departments. It shows difference
between the different departments in Pakistan and their problems. The findings
further suggest that the current system of Performance Appraisal is not good
enough.
