The business deals with accommodating,entertaining tourist and to organize tours. Tourism may be of various categories such asinternational or within a country. The world tourism organisation defines tourism as travelling toand staying in a space out of the common living environment. In today’s world tourism is a bigsource of income for many countries, so government focus on the development of this particularindustry. Tourism management of various countries varies according to its geographical andclimate condition. These writing deals with a UK tourism company named as VisitBritain. Thisis a British tourist authority board of Great Britain and was formed in 1969. It's a joint venturecompany between British tourist authority and English tourism council.Development of tourism in historical contextHistory says that from the beginning of the world human beings like to travel from one place toanother whether ancient humans, kings or the queens. In ancient china peoples sometimes visitsmount tai and five sacred mountains (Thomas, 2013, p.88). A book reveals that on the year 1787a Japanese tourist consulting a tourist guide for a tour. The fundamental idea was that one couldmature and learn while travelling, experience the world and improve one's craft in order to growthrough a test and return as an accomplished man. In the middle ages, Christianity, Buddhismand Islam all promote tours named as a pilgrimage, aim to improve health and religion.Recreational and educational travel already existed in the classical world and even inEgypt. TheIslamic hajj and Chaucer’s Canterbury tales are related to tour in literature. The modern tour canbe also known as Grand tour, an entertainment tour around Europe. The tour culture flourishedfrom 1660 to early 1840s. Grand tour was mostly done by rich class people. Positive and negative impact of UK tourismPositive impact-●Economic effect- UK tourism gave job to many unemployed people and gavedevelopment to retails and transportation industry. It even gives business to small scaleindustry.3
