Executive SummaryThe test was conducted for checking the website operation of Bournemouth University(https://itservices.bournemouth.ac.uk/) by us. Our team is responsible for the management ofthe BU’s website. We are responsible to make sure to make necessary changes in order toensure the best possible experience among the users. The website has been put to test andwhile in general most of the positive reviews have arrived in reference to the ease of accessand the ability to make use of information. The report will indicate certain errors as far as thenavigation problem of the website is concerned. There has been problems regarding theusability of the website is identified. The problems have resulted in errors and increased timeconsumption, both of which could be identified as results that have come after certainproblems related to those specific tasks which are:Evaluation OverviewInconsistency between menus and content filesUncustomized search functionCluttered information processing.Unclear formatting of the website contentUsability problems and layout problemsRecommendationsHomepage: Fonts and the formatting part is improved. Layout issue is fixed. Menubar and their content features are improved according to the user requirement andexperience feedback.Navigation: Some of the extra and worthless features are deleted so that thenavigation time improves. Design interface of user: Site layout issues are fixed and redesigned. The informationcontent within the website are verified according to the user experience feedback anduser requirement. Categories are changed and simplified. Site map: New site map of the university website is created including the additionalsections of university life, business excellence, research and e-Library.

IntroductionA usability test is a kind of test done to see whether an interface serves the specific need forwhich it had been created and whether the use of the same interface is making it easier for theuser and is actually helping a user to access and use all the information that has beenadvertised by the design and the home page contents. In this study, there has been an attemptto create anwebsite for Bournemouth University IT services(https://itservices.bournemouth.ac.uk/) and to find out the general way in which theinformation has been delivered to the different users and whether there have been anyproblems in accessing such information (Vo, 2015). There are certain usability problems existin the form of consistency, design and documentation. 3. Website OverviewThe website of the university is the most important communication tool between thestakeholders such as present student, student prospective, alumni, staffs, etc. The universitywebsite (https://itservices.bournemouth.ac.uk) is ranked among the top rated website andcomprise of approx 63.3% of UK traffic. ObjectivesThe university website is the most important means of identity of the university portal to theoutside world as far as communication is concerned. The website needs to well maintainedand regularly updated according to the increasing needs of the users. MethodologyThe participants have been chosen in a manner that should make it capable of connectingthem to the IT sectors, with the help of certain permutation, and the choice in a manner thatwill help in bringing together groups from the IT conference with the help of the universitysite visiting, https://itservices.bournemouth.ac.uk/. Hence, it is through this method that thedifferent kinds of audience have been selected so as to concentrate the object of the study tobe related to interested parties (Ismailova, 2017). Hence undergraduate and postgraduateswho are studying the social interaction and awareness programs related to ITsectors wereselected. Specific parents were selected by lottery and IT teachers were selected. Certainestablished IT workers who come in contact with corporate environment were also selectedand finally 3 network analysts and website experts were considered (Ogata, Goto and Okano,2016). The session took 15 minutes out of each of the participant and for each of them, therewas a need to go through an objective and subjective questionnaire which would help to

establish the connection between the study and the participants and the conclusion derivedfrom it (Venkatesh, Hoehle and Aljafari 2017).ParticipantsThere has been a selective method that has been used to choose the different kinds ofparticipants in this area and so, according to the selective process, the different kinds ofparticipants chosen are:Undergraduates: These are individuals who have been chosen to due their area ofstudy which is information Technology.Post Graduates: They have been chosen with the consideration of their working fieldwhich included research field of IT and securityresponse, and Web design.Parents: Parents who had attended the IT conference with their children and werewilling to participate in the program were chosen.Teachers: Teachers who taught information technology and web design in highschools and colleges were chosen for the program ((Rodríguez, et al., 2017).Established IT workers:Established IT workers were chosen was therecommendations that they could provide regarding the object of the study.Network analysts and website experts: Certain network analysts and websiteexpertshave also been considered who can be identified and who can be used forrecommendation and addition of information if required.
