1. Explaining the planning process adopted by the managers of organizations ?Planning process is simply defines as the procedures which has use by variousorganization in order to development of the goals, tasks, strategies for the purpose of achievingthe aim, objectives and the purpose of the business (Turner, 2014). Planning process can be donein several ways such as: strategic plans, tactical plans, operating plans and project plans. The planning process is necessity for any organization as its is useful for the organizationin order to attain the aims and objectives of the organization. The planning process of theorganization is go through rigorous analysis and planning of the end objectives and the activitieswhich organization is performing (Saunders and Cornett, 2014). The planning process contributes to the objectives which set by the organization a theprocess itself started with the evaluating and determining the objectives. After the objective-setting process is completed then planning process decides the various different methods andprocedures through required steps can be taken for the purpose of achievement of set objectives(Christopher, 2016).Planning is the primary and most important function of an organization which needed tobe performed by each and every manager (Kaplan and Atkinson, 2015). There is no substitute forthe planning process as without performing the planning process managers are not able toexecute any other function because planning is must need for setting the organizationalobjectives and all the other functions are performed on the basis of objectives only. `The planning process is require on each and every level of the management. Only the toplevel managers cannot make a proper planning as each level of manger have to contribute in theprocess. The formation of major plan and policies task done by the top level managers and on theother hand the manager belongs to each and every department do the work of forming the planfor their respective department. Lower level managers frame plan to meet the overall objectivesand carry them on day to day basis (Tedeschi, 2013). Planning process is a function with the futuristic characteristics, all the managers maketheir assumptions and predictions on the basis of future and all these assumptions are made of thebasis of past experiences (Sprung, and et.al, 2013). Planning is also need to done on thecontinuous basis as it is the continuous process because after the planning process is donemanagers need to keep them updated with the changing environment of the business. important for the success of planning process to change it according to requirement of theorganization and industry (Burke, 2013). Planning process involves the decision making characteristic into it, as the planningprocess is taken place at the time when there are various different variables are available andmanagers have to select most suitable alternative in between them. Combination of optionsdevelop the need of taking the decision which is most suitable for the planning process (Hill,Jones and Schilling, 2014). Planning is also refers as the mental exercise and mental process as it requires the higherlevel of thinking and expertise. As the planning process is based of the assumption andprediction with the characteristic of futuristic approach by scanning the environment properly.So one can understand that level of expertise need to be on the maximum level when managersare performing the planning building exercise ((McNeil, Frey, and Embrechts, 2015)). For the purpose of making the planning process more effective and keep it align with theaims and objectives set by the organization managers are required to follow several steps suchas: developing aims and goals, develop task related goals, analyse the resources, making thetimelines and assignment, prioritize tasks and goals, developing evaluation techniques andmethods and analyse the alternative course of action.Developing aims and goals : Each and every organization has their own objectives,mission, vision and goals. Before the establishment of the aims and goals managers requires tounderstand the working culture of the organization. The goal settlement process can be dividedin two type long-term goals and short-term goals as per the suitability of the organization.Planning process cannot be initiated without the presence of organizational goals and objectives(Armstrong and Taylor, 2014). Development of task related goals : Task which organizations are developing must beclosely related to the goals and aims of the business. The task which are having the major impacton the aims and objective of the organization managers are responsible to makes plan regardingthe completion of those (Turner, 2014). Analysis of the resources : Resources are consider as various sources which organizationcan use to achieve the aims, goals and objective of the business. The resources for theorganization can be financial concerns, workforce of business, physical assets and key-man ofthe organization.
