In the weekly assignment 1, the various gaps were stated, which restricts proper project
management. The various gaps stated in the previous assignment such as the making of the
network diagram and the proper quality management are necessary for a good project
management. The use of MS project software is necessary for the network diagram (Larson &
Gray, 2013). In this assignment the gap of network diagram is covered. The assignment puts
forward how by the help of MS project software can be helpful for better project management by
the help of an article.

The above article states the importance of project management and how to implement
project management in a better way. The article puts forward how to cover the gap of quality
project management and the performance- reporting plan (Milestones to Efficiency | PMI, 2018).
Both the factors come under the Organizational Project Management (OPM). The proper
implementation of the OPM can lead to a proper project management. The main problems lies in
the improper implementation of the OPM. The other problems that occur for the proper project
management can be limited funding or the challenge in understanding task. The article states the
various factor that lead to a proper performance- reporting plan. The author has sought the help
of a few steps in order to implement the OPM in a proper manner. Strong leadership quality can
be thought to be a proper implementation of the OPM (Amin, Kamal & Sohail, 2016). A strong
leader in the team would always help in monitoring the project, contacting between the team
members and knowing the status of the project. This will help in proper project management.

the quality management plan can help in better understanding of how to manage a project better.
The main concepts such as the leadership quality, effective communication and senior support
can be implemented in order to provide a better management theory for project management
(Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017). In the next project, the effective communication process can be
implemented as to put a better idea in the mind of all the team members. There were gaps in the

previous assignment, which could be covered by the help of effective communication. The
effective communication would involve dividing the task between the team members according
to the capability (Heagney, 2016). A particular member can execute the performance- reporting
plan and the other person who has good hold over network diagram can be allotted to do the
same. The effective communication would also involve holding regular meetings in order to
clear the misunderstandings if any. This will help in clearing any gap that might have occurred in
the process of project management. The effective communication also helps in motivation of the
employees, which would in turn be of help in the betterment of the project. Thus, this is also
another way of managing the project in a better way.
