Give an example that explains how the procurement process is essential for
organizations to create and deliver products and/or services to their
customers?
Procurement processes in an organization helps it to streamline its
processes and apply structured methodologies to save operational costs,
reduce time in executing the processes and enhance relationship with the
suppliers. Procurement processes are beneficial for an organization because,
the activities require an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the
business processes, after which the right kind of supplier is selected that will
periodically contribute to the units to manufacture products as per the needs of
the customer. Hence, negotiating with the most optimum supplier for the best
quality of raw materials and acquiring them will eventually help the
organization to produce the supreme quality of items in order to attain
customer satisfaction. Thus, on the end of the customers they will be the
highest gainer and achieve the products according to their needs if the
organization can maintain an effective procurement process.
Organization like Accenture has become efficient in procurement
outsourcing services that have generated high value to their system. Due to
the rapid evolvement in the technological sector, the company has strived to
revise their procurement strategies that will ensure satisfaction from the client
end. Due to their advanced procurement operating model, they are able to
reduce costs in their operations and thus prove it beneficial for their customers
to afford their reasonable services. In addition, the customers will be able to
rely on the organization with the optimum quality of their services and minimize
the risks incorporated with it. Furthermore, the customers can expect
innovative solutions from Accenture and sustainably save their costs while
attaining the services.
