The leadership is considered as major art which helps in managing the subordinate
members in a well defined manner (Dugan, 2017). It is most essential role of a leader to focus on
maintaining leadership with a key focus on certain principles and approaches in order to manage
a team in an effective manner. All major organisations in the international and national
marketplace focus on implementing best leadership practices in order to gain competency edge.
The different approaches and leadership techniques are also supportive for a company in
managing key team members in a well defined manner. In this project there is a brief analysis
conducted on Leadership vacuum in Australian cricket is holding the game back. This project
includes various leadership theories which are helpful in providing major solutions for different
problems of a leader. This project also includes the way characteristics and traits of leaders
influence performance and organisation succeeding to achieve their goals.

According to the current situation, Justin Langer who is the coach of Australian cricket
team, is having uncomfortable and rigid relationship with team members. There is an urgent need
of renewal in Australian cricket and manage Leadership according to contemporary cricket
practices. The board chairman of Australian cricket Eddings should take right steps in order to
revive the situation. In the Australian cricket team the Smith as a captain has received negative
comments and criticism. Although the Australian test cricket team is lucky to have Tim Paine as
a captain during the 2018 Cape Town tampering crisis. The Tim Paine played a major role in
