1ASPECTS THAT DEFINE A DOMAIN
This report mainly focuses on aspects that define Aviation domain. In Australia, aviation
industry is rapidly growing day by day. As the economy of Australia is increasing people are
coming from various places to find jobs there. As per reports, number of people that come to
Australia from different places is sixteen million. 90% people in Australia avails the aviation
service as Australia in an island ("Aviation industry in Australia" 2018). The following
paragraphs deals with the aspects that define the aviation industry in Australia.
Industries served: The industry that the aviation industry serves is mainly transportation
(Australianindustrystandards.org.au 2018). Passengers and cargo are transported to different
places with the help of aviation.
Laws that define operations, safety and investigation of aviation: The Civil Aviation Safety
Authority sets the rules and regulations that the aviation industry in Australia follow. The laws
set by them for operation of are Civil Aviation Act 1988 and the Air Navigation Act 1920
(Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities 2018). For safety and security the laws are Air
accidents (Commonwealth Government Liability) Act 1963 and the Damage by Aircraft Act
1999.
The investigatory and the regulatory agencies of Australia that carries out investigations
of any accidents or regulates the operations are Australian Transport Safety Bureau and the
Bureau of Air Safety Investigation.
Operations, systems and complexity: The operations that the aviation industry performs are
electrical monitoring like the maintenance of the power plant, checking the ignition and the
amount of fuel, lubrication of the movable parts of the engine and high- lift devices (Civil
Aviation Safety Authority 2018).
