construction industry. From the above table, it can be stated that a total of 25 respondents said
that one of the safety practices that are integrated within the construction industry of New
Zealand is that the construction sit should be inspected on a regular basis in order to identify any
risks that might prevail within the industry. On the other hand, 10 respondents stated that
workers should always be equipped with the appropriate equipments. Lastly. 15 respondents
stated that the workers on the construction site should be provided with regular training in order

New Zealand has set some safety rules as well as regulations. When the respondents were asked
about the same, 20 of them stated that Regulation employment relations is one of the rules that
the government has set within the industry. 10 respondents stated that health and safety was a
regulations set by the government of New Zealand in order to promote safety within the
construction industry. Lastly, there were 10 respondents who stated that an adequate supply of
clean drinking water was a rule while the remaining 10 respondents stated that appropriate
facilities for first aid is a rule for the safety of workers within the construction industry. These
rules and regulations that are set by the government are important because they ensure that the
workers are safe while working on the construction site.

expected to follow in order to remain safe from any kind of risks or accidents on the site. These
are important and 15 respondents stated that there is a decrease in the risk of injuries due to
practising safety procedures within the industry. Besides this, a total of 15 respondents stated that
safety procedures reduce the risk of work related injuries that can be caused due to minor
accidents within the workplace. Lastly, a total of 20 respondents stated that safety practices
during construction are important because they minimize the accidents that are associated during
the construction of sites. Therefore, it can be said that by practising safety procedures during
construction can help in improving the work related conditions and thus, allow the workers to do
their jobs in an efficient manner.

Interpretation : From the above table, it can be stated that there are various safety equipments
that should be used by the workers during construction. On asking the respondents about this, it
was found that 10 respondents stated that scaffold is one of the construction equipments that
should be used during the construction. On the other hand, the workers are also supposed to wear
helmets during the construction because they are protective equipments that keep the workers
safe while they carry out their jobs. Lastly, 20 respondents stated that there are welding shields
that the workers should always use in order to avoid any kind of accidents and harm to their eyes
during the construction process. Therefore, it can be stated that these safety equipments should
be used at all times in order to make sure that the workers are able to perform in an effective
manner and thus, ensure that the work conditions are maintain at the most efficient levels.

respondents and according to them the workers should be well equipped with the gear. Through
this, they will be protective and not facing Proper equipment any kind of issue while
construction. There are 10 respondents and as per their opinion that workers should have the
better pair of the shoes so that they can be protective. 15 respondents said that workers should
have the helmets for their proper safety. The safety helmets give protection against the injuries
from bumping into electrical conductors and fixed objects which may lead to the injury.

New Zealand that understand the risks. Once know the specific hazard of workplace, it is
necessary to minimize the work related injury risks. 10 respondents said that Reduce workplace
stress should be necessary. In this, common causes consists heavy workload, conflicts with the
bosses, job insecurity and others. The stress ca be lead to the depression, complexities with the
concentration. 5 respondents said that the safety practices is related to avoiding the twisting or
stopping. In regards to this, use the ergonomically designed equipments and furniture and also

practices which can be used through the construction sector in order to improve construction site
safety. There are 25 respondents and according to them, there should be awareness about the
safety equipments, rules and regulations in construction sectors and others. Each person that
steps foot onto construction site should be well aware about the risks which are related with job
and in which manner prevent with knowledge regarding the construction site safety. There are
10 respondents which agree with the training. Through skills of the construction workers can be
gained on job, safety is main skill set that is learned better before the workers enter construction
site. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) help the construction business to
train new labourers on the safety practices consisting training videos, worksheets, on site training
opportunities and others. In regards to this, experienced workers should be expected to be refresh
knowledge regarding the standard safety with the help of attending training sessions on regular
basis. There are 15 remaining respondents which agree with the communication and according to

construction sector. Without the proper communication among everyone on construction site, the
workers would not know what to be expect. There are 10 respondents and they said that proper
equipments should be used by the construction industry. To develop culture centered around the
construction the site safety, it is necessary to provide the workers proper equipments as well as
the adequate work area. Without proper equipment, there can not have the construction site
safety because there will an opportunities to get the injured by using wrong equipment.

Construction industry of New Zealand
The construction industry is wider and broader which is has been expanding at rapid
scale. From research analysis, it has been analysed that this industry play major role in
development and growth of economy. In market, most of the marketers are ready to invest in
this type of industry at larger level. Construction industry refers to specific sector in which it
focuses on mineral exploration & drilling. It is most profitable sector & government also get
benefited from this area. In New Zealand, this sector is developing with new strategies &
tactics which is widening the scope & size of business at larger scale. Furthermore, it is also
stated that government agencies & contracts combined with construction business to improve
infrastructure which is concerned with transport, education field, health sector etc. According to
author of article, with rise of this sector future benefits will be gained at wider approach. In New

appropriate way. From analysis, it is evaluated that risk related to health in constructions
industries occur because of following things such as falls electrocution, struck by machine or any
object and many more. With current situation of businesses sectors, it has become essential to
protect the life of every individual. Furthermore, with adaption of safety practices, it is is easy
to enhance life integrity of individual for longer period of time. So, it is important for the site
managers to make sure that safety measures are followed at the site. This can include ensuring
the proper maintenance of the site as well as the equipment that is used by the workers.
In light of New Zealand government, safety practices are integrated with constructions
& need to focused at appropriate level. Through focusing on these will lead to increase of moral
& work satisfaction level of worker, employees at workplace. Therefore, it is important to use
these practices so that everything is done with proper measures of safety.

From research analysis, it is evaluated that it comprises of risk & dangerous situations
which are being faced at every aspect by both employer as well as employee. Neglecting of
these safety measures will lead to occur of illness, fatal injuries etc. Therefore, it is essential to
focus on safety practices so that nor harm is done to people. For example- safety practices such
as strong & good quality of boots, helmets, dress code, alternative toolkit while working &
many more can be used as safety measures by individual. It is duty of manager to make assure
that safety practices are obtained by every person so that they are able to work in most efficient
way. Also, companies or managers can provide first aid kit to employees & in addition can have
personal doctor at workplace so that injuries can be reduces at major point. Therefore, it is
important to promote safety at the construction site in order to protect the workers from any kind
of accidents or injuries. Scaffolding should be promoted as hazards can occur if they are not used
properly. These type of injuries are necessary to be reduces so that higher productivity &
maximum output is achieved by company at all aspect.
Furthermore, another safety practices like inspection of tools of every employee, using
of advanced & new equipment &machines etc. will, also lead to reduction of fatal injuries at
depth. Another way through which fatal injuries might reduced is scheduling of safety meetings
in which how one can protect themselves from uncertain situations are analysed. It is also seen
that this sector gives an additional opportunities to business as well as market which enhance

their applications at larger scale. It is crucial to focus on fatal injuries so that health of people
remain safe & higher productivity is obtained within a period of time by companies.
