1. What aspects of your life experiences do you think make you a good candidate for
medical school?
Becoming a doctor has been childhood aspiration. This is my childhood dream ever since I
did my primary schooling. My educational journey was focused on that goal and as I started
pursuing higher studies, I continued enrolling in my bachelors degree and educational programs
accordingly. I completed an undergraduate degree in biomedical science and undertaking a
Masters in Medicine in addition to Paramedicine. I also enrolled in an IB high school where I got
the opportunity to work at triage medical cases, home doctor services and I allocated health care
resources to clients. I also completed a degree in Primary responder medicine along with
Paramedicine. In addition to this, my experience of volunteering in various medical humanitarian
projects made me aware about disparities in care of different groups of people. The medical
experience made me humble and I developed a sense of altruism once I realized how individual
economic and social circumstances influenced their health (Xesfingi & Vozikis, 2016).
Based on my passion of becoming a doctor, I developed special interest in Sexual health
and because of this, I got enrolled in a Master of Medicine at the University of Sydney. This
degree was an enriching experience as it opened doors to various remote and rural health issues
and I got firsthand experience regarding how medicine is practiced in low resource and
disadvantaged areas. I have attended medical conference in Indonesia so that I continue
expanding my knowledge related to latest innovations in the medical field. Therefore, my
medical experiences and qualifications gained so far have given me broad experience in different
aspects of medical field. My maturity and ability to understand disparities will be an advantage
in my future practice.

2. Who are three most influential people in your life?
I am inspired by the work of Albert Einstein who has contributed so much to the
development of science. His discoveries and inventions in the area of maths and physics are
remarkable. Such scientist inspires me to be inquisitive, develop the ability to inquire and learn
about how things work and engage in innovative thinking. In addition, the work of Robert Koch
inspires me as he was a pioneer in infection control and prevention. His discovery and work in
the laboratory to discover the cause of anthrax was an exceptional work as it plays a role in
treating the disease which was prevalent in his time. I believe he has been the reason behind
prevention of many epidemics which was prevalent at that time. Such eyes for details and the
interest to find solution to medical issues is a think that motivates me too. Similarly, I admire the
way Sigmund Freud played a role in the development of psychoanalysis theory. His
interpretation and culture of the society was exceptional.
3. What leadership roles have you had?
Through my experience in volunteering project and short placement experiences in health
service clinic, I have assumed leadership role for management of triage and patient education.
Triage care is crucial service area in medical field where effective leadership role can help in
taking quick response and coordinating with other staffs in appropriate manner to provide urgent
emergency care (Lamb et al., 2018). During volunteering for triage service, I was involved in
taking medicine orders, give telemedicine support and making appointments. I handled the
overall triage service. My critical thinking skills helped me identify immediate care needs of
patient and coordinate with other staffs. My critical reasoning helped me to guide other
classmates regarding the need to provide education to clients while taking part in volunteering
services.
