INTRODUCTION
Health promotion is the procedure of making people aware to improve their health. With this
respect, it also explains the nature of person towards a wide range of environmental and social
interventions. Health promotional strategies help individuals to stop bad habits like smoking in the
society (Bauman and Nutbeam, 2013). Present report describes the socio-economic influences on
the health of individuals. It explains the reasons for barriers to assess healthcare. It represents the
link between government strategies and models of health promotion. Further, it discusses the role of
routines in promoting healthy living within community. It describes the aspects which affect the
health of a person. In addition to this, it explains the health promotion campaign to meet out
particular objectives.

1.1 Explaining the effects of socio-economic influences on health
Socio-economic effect can create positive and negative impact on the health of a person and
it depends on the surrounding atmosphere in the community. Socio-economic factors like income,
education, status as well as lifestyle affect the health of an individual. For example, if mother and
father of children have bad habits such as smoking and drinking. Socio-economic effects can create
a negative impact on adults in the house. These habits can also be adopted by youngsters by seeing
these activities at home and other places which will affect their life adversely (Edelman, Mandle
and Kudzma, 2013). These habits can be the reason of deadly diseases such as cancer, heart attack,
tuberculosis and lever problems to individuals. In addition to this, they can create mental illness
issues like depression as well as higher tension for people at the home. In this way, socio-economic
effect can generate an adverse impact on children, adults as well as on youngsters which can
increase so many complexities for them in the community (Korda and Itani, 2013). For example, if
income of a person is lower and his status of life style is very high in the society. Then, in this
situation, socio-economic effect can create a negative effect on the individuals as they cannot spend
money to afford their lifestyle. So, this issue can lead to mental tension for the person.
For example, if family status like social and financial level of person is effective then, it can
create a positive effect on individuals. Further, socio-economic factor can help in reducing health
related diseases for person in the society (Street, Gold and Manning, 2013). It can contribute an
effective role for individual to reduce health related issues at the home. So, in this way, socio-
economic aspect creates positive as well as negative impact on the health of people.

There are many sources of government in reporting on inequalities in health. It is described
below in the paragraph:

United Kingdom. It provides various types of knowledge in inequalities of health which gives a
great help to know about its main causes in UK. In addition to this, Black report shows death rate of
humans in the form of social class five as comparison of first class. Further, as per the current
reports, Gap between two classes is increased as compared to before due to increasing habit of
addiction like smoking and drinking in people (Horwath and et.al., 2013). Government tries to
control health inequalities through developing effective strategies in United Kingdom.
Acheson Report: It contributes effective role for the Government of UK to do proper action
on heath inequalities in maximum areas. It represents the presence of health disparities and their
relations to social classes in the nation. As per the report, it helps to know proper data on health
inequalities of people in United Kingdom. Further, Acheson report consists of 39 policy suggestions
in the field which are ranging from taxation to agriculture for improving health disparities in people.
In addition to this, it helps in reducing health inequalities of medical victims in the nation

are increased as compared to before in UK.

corporations to treat patients in the nation. For example, sometimes, medical patients resist taking

Resources: Resources play a major role to create barriers for healthcare of people and it
produces issues for treating patients in the HSC organization. For example, social care corporations
and government of UK face many problems due to lack of resources like proper medical equipment
like X ray machine which is helpful to examine human health. These issues come due to shortage of
monetary funds which create issues for government to provide proper resources to heath care
corporations in the nation (Chou and et.al., 2013). So, due to lack of resources, members of
healthcare organizations face these types of complexities to treat patients in the specific areas.

Government strategies and models of heath promotions are properly linked with each other
which help to reduce the healthcare issues in United Kingdom.
Health awareness: Mainly government of UK give many efforts to reduce addiction activities like
smoking, assess drinking as well as tobacco in people. For example, they uses banner, templates,
news papers, magazines, television, Social Media as well as radios to spread their message in the
nation. So these healthcare cares strategies contribute effective role for government of United to
promote social messages in people which helps in creating proper awareness quieting smoking and
other addiction activities in the nation (Leichter, 2014). In addition to this, Government aware the
general physician of healthcare organizations to suggest the people for leaving these addicted
habits. In addition to this, these promotional strategies contribute effective role for government and
healthcare organization to reduce cases of smoking and other things in the nation.
Organizing campaign: Government of United Kingdom organize anti-smoking campaign for
people in the different areas which help the addicted people to leave smoking activities. For
example, many government healthcare organizations arranges these type of medical camps to treat
patient in a appropriate manner. So these type of Campaigns help the people to treat the addicted
people by providing proper medicines (Neiger and et.al., 2012). Social care members also create
awareness in people by describing related diseases like cancer and T.B in order to reduce smoking
cases.
Legal actions: Government of United Kingdom compel the cigarette and tobacco manufacturing
companies to explains consequences of these addictions. This approach contribute effective role for

professional in the healthcare organisations. In addition to this, society people can arrange rally
which can help to spread the consequences of tobacco consumption among the society people
(Haber, 2013). They can manage marathon to encourage youth, teenagers and old people. These

health promotions in the nation.

cigarettes for addicted patients. Physicians aware about deadly diseases which are occurred from
smoking to medical victim. So they contribute effective role for government of UK for the health

maintenance as well as self control.
Individual level influences: Self belief of people affect their health. This step helps the individual

to adopt good habits by leaving bad addiction. For example, With help of this thing, person can
prepare its self to stop smoking and harmful activities which can create health related diseases.
Perceived benefits and barriers: Person can analyse proper benefits to adopt good habits like
regular exercise as well as tackling obesity by avoiding tobacco and other habits. In addition to this,
He can also identify the barriers like internal resistance to leave smoking. These activities compel
the individuals to smoke again which is harmful for their health (Social and Behavioural Theories,
2015).
Maintenance: People and medical patients can take appropriate medicines which are prescribed by
doctors to control over the smoking and assess drinking activities. This way, medical victim can
adopt effective habits which can maintain to take effective benefits to their health.
Self control: Patient has to maintain self control to leave smoking and other addictions activities
forever in the future. For this process, people can follow meditation and effective procedure which

cigarettes and other product as lifestyle by seeing other individuals in the community. Then after,
people face health related problems like cancer, T.B and heart attack. Consumption of addicted
products create bad effect on health of people (Clift and Page, 2015). On the other side,
promotional activities regarding healthcare which are designed by government. They do not create
any type of impact because they like consumption of cigarettes and tobacco products in the nation.
In addition to this, they are unable to produce proper healthcare awareness in the young generation.
As a result, smoking and tobacco addiction are increased death ratio of young people as comparison
of before in the United Kingdom. Further, new generation is also encouraged to use cigarettes and
tobacco products by seeing these type of surrounding environment in the nation. In addition to this,
most of health promotional activities are failed because young as well as teenager do not care about
their health related issues which causes many deadly diseases in people (Salazar, Crosby and
DiClemente, 2015). So these type of situation are created many conflicts between cigarettes
manufacturing companies and government healthcare organisation in United Kingdom.

Providing relevant information plays important role for public to bring positive effect by
reducing addiction activities in the maximum areas. There are many professionals such as doctors
as well as social and health care members which provide effective information regarding healthcare
