INTRODUCTION
Evidence based practice is the practice which is based on the scientific evidence which helps
in framing the practice at large scale Brownson, Fielding & Green, (2018).
Thus, the report will analyse that the patient centred care should be the foundation of EBP.
The barriers and facilitators to achieve compliance with evidence based nursing practice will
help in analyzing and creating value as to how effectively knowledge will be drawn at large
scale. Further, strategies to help decrease non – compliance to the policy will also be framed.
Moreover, recommendations will also be provided for maintaining adherence to policy or
clinical practice guidelines.
MAIN BODY
Barriers and facilitators to achieving compliance with evidence based nursing practice
The adoption of evidence based practice (EBP) is hindered by several barriers which are
mentioned and are described as follows –
Firstly, lack of time is often cited as predominant barrier to EBP which majorly affects the
practice and this also makes the practice difficult while addressing the aspect as to how the
practice is being carried out. Due to lack of time the preparation of EBP denotes that there are
difficulties in preparing the evidence based nursing practice at large scale.
Care of patients’ is at the core of EBP. However, according to Cowie, Nicoll & Duncan,
(2020), insufficient time also creates problem in how the practice should be framed and this
misbalances the aspect of how the time should be framed at large scale. This also denotes that
practice must be proper time framed so that there are no details which are missed. Compliance
with EBP also places additional demands on nurses which include the aspect as to how
effectively the evidence based nursing practice is incorporated and the evidence is collected for
best practice to be continued and this creates the major factor as to how the decision making and
work is being carried out by the nurses so that the nursing practice is framed to be effectively
proven to be best evidence collected so far and provides all the information at large scale
Duncombe, (2018).
Complying with EBP helps in creating value and understands the role of the nurse as they
are the major facilitators of the practice which is being carried at large scale. The evidence based

nursing practice is an information which is being gathered for the practice of how the nurses are
incurring and performing their roles and responsibilities in the practice of delivering their best
and providing the evidence of how the details are acknowledged at large scale. Therefore, along
with the lack of time there are barriers such as lack of knowledge about the EBP also denotes the
major issues which is lacking in the EBP Dent, Morley & Vellas, (2019). This is how the barriers
are addressed which are creating hindrances in the practice of how the details are within the
practice are analysed and are drawn and identified. The EBP process is an important process
which helps in understanding and knowing that there are certain facilitators along with nurses
such as doctors, physicians and other healthcare professionals in the practice.
Strategies to help decrease non – compliance to the policy or clinical practice guidelines
There are two main strategies which help in decreasing non – compliance to the policy or
clinical practice guidelines are described as –
Strong leadership skills should be framed and worked to be encouraged in the clinical
settings.
Effective research skills should also be analyzed and formulated at large scale within the
care setting.
It is very important that non compliance to the policy or clinical practice guidelines should be
decreased. The clinical policy guidelines in the EBP help in knowing that how it effectively the
clinical practice guidelines are being taken into consideration Blank, Barnett & Vinçon, (2019).
These two strategies will help in creating value as to how there will be decrease in the non –
compliance to the policy. The clinical practice guidelines will help in knowing how effectively
the clinical evidence is being addressed. When the policies are not followed within the clinical
practice it becomes major drawback and creates difficulties within the evidence which are
analysed and are created at large scale.
It is very important that the clinical policy guidelines should be followed to decrease the
non – compliance of the policy which have been framed. This helps in strategizing the major
concerns of how the concerns are addressed and the care practices are to be followed to decrease
the non – compliance of clinical practice Livet, Haines & Roth McClurg, (2018). It is very
important that the care system within the clinical evidence based practice helps in addressing the
major concerns of how effectively and in appropriate manner the changes and the important

details are being analyzed. The care system has to follow the clinical practice guidelines so that
the EBP is also involved in knowing the aspects of how effectively evidence are collected and
are drawing the best results and information which is helping to evaluate details of the practice in
an appropriate manner. Therefore, these strategies which are mentioned will help in strategizing
implementation of evidence based research and practice which are being undertaken and will be
considered as important.
Recommendations for maintaining and sustaining adherence to policy or clinical practice
guidelines beyond initial implementation period
The recommendations for maintaining adherence to policy or clinical practice guidelines beyond
initial implementation period are described as –
Sustainability research in electronic data bases should be framed which will help in
analyzing and creating value for work and research at large scale.
The maintenance to policy or clinical practice guidelines should be framed with the help
of strategizing and creating value for the research at large scale should be framed in an
appropriate manner at large scale Venkatesh, Kang & Zhang, (2020).
There should be adherence to clinical practice should be done by following the rules and
regulations in an appropriate manner such that the clinical practice is being framed in an
appropriate manner at large scale.
The quality in the clinical practice policy should be maintained so that the concern is
being analysed in an appropriate manner and at large scale which helps in delivering the
basis of how effectively the care is being provided to the patients following the clinical
practice which is being undertaken.
Therefore, these are some of the recommendations for maintaining and sustaining adherence to
policy or clinical practice guidelines beyond initial implementation period which will help in
improving the quality of the clinical practice and quality care will be provided to the patients
within the clinical care and concern at large scale Hamilton & Finley, (2019). There are aspects
as to how effectively and in appropriate manner the changes are being drawn for analyzing the
aspects of how effectively the care and concern for the clinical based and evidence based
practice will be addressed and will be drawn at large scale.

The clinical evidence and quality of the evidence is based on the time, knowledge and
understanding of the guidelines within the practice which is being analyzed and will help in
creating value of the research at large scale. The systematic review will also be analyzed when
the clinical practice will be addressed and this will create value for the evidence collected and
framed in appropriate manner at large scale Johnson, Adkins & Chauvin, (2020). The clinical
practice is an important practice which helps in knowing that how effectively and in appropriate
manner there are improvement and concerns which are effectively analyzed for the evidence
which is collected and is framed. The recommendations will also help in improving and
integrating the care services which are to be delivered by systematically reviewing them.
CONCLUSION
Thus, it is concluded from the above report that the patient centred care should be the
foundation of EBP. The barriers and facilitators to achieve compliance with evidence based
nursing practice helped in analyzing and creating value as to how effectively knowledge was
drawn at large scale. Further, strategies to help decrease non – compliance to the policy were
also framed. Moreover, recommendations were also provided for maintaining adherence to
policy or clinical practice guidelines.
