Occupational health and toxicology covers several fields in the medical sector. These disciplines
include scientific analysis of the diseases, diagnosis, promotion of environmental health and
occupation. According to Cockerham, (2018) occupational health is concerned with health
related aspects and the safety of health workers in their areas of work. However, there are cases
where occupational health addresses the issues of preventing any risk that health workers could
face while delivering their services. Some of these hazards include hearing loss, accidents,
respiratory infections and other risks issues that may lead to cancer attack. Some of the issues
that are addressed in the context of occupational health include provision of protection and health
promotion to health workers, policies related to maternity leave, salary of the health workers and
working hours.
On the other hand, Goyer, (2016) argued that toxicology refers to the field of science that assist
help worker learn about harmful impacts that materials such as chemical substances can cause to
animals and human beings. The main information in toxicology is about the safety of human
beings and animals in the health environment. Some of the knowledge evident in the field of
toxicology include studying the impact of exposing chemical to the environment and the poisons.
Once one have studied the adverse impact of the chemical, the next step is to share the idea to the
public domain to ensure that everyone is safe from any poisons. However, Yu,Tsunoda, &
Tsunoda, (2016) said that the health workers should be able to do prediction show chemicals can
