Instructions
The ten drawings in this document, are samples of plans that could be submitted,
along with all required information, at time of applying for a Building Permit. There
may be missing information or information on the drawings that do not conform to
the BC Building Code. Use these to answer the questions in Assignment 1: Plan
Checking.

The site plan does not conform to the requirements of the BC building codes as some dimensions
are missing.
Front Elevation
The total area of unprotected openings in the front elevation is higher than recommended.
According to Sentences 9.10.15.4.(1) and (2) of the BC building codes, a maximum of 9% of the
total exposed face is permitted.
