Teamwork is related to the collaborative work of team members so that they can achieve
a common goal by performing their individual roles and responsibilities in an effective and
efficient manner. The members of an effective team are committed towards success of the team,
are interdependent, communicate effectively, monitor each other’s activities, are committed
towards team leadership and accountability etc. Teamwork thus plays an important role in
organisational success as they help in achieving the company objectives on time so that it can
successfully survive in the market.

manner. Following are the various benefits of teamwork at workplace:

creative ideas through brainstorming and sharing their ideas so that better innovations can
be brought in company. It also help in finishing up the work on time as the team members
can work together enthusiastically together and distributer work among themselves so
that effective results can be achieved (Logan and Michael Malone, 2018).

team so that they can share their ideas which help in trusting the other members and
building a cohesive bond among them which is essential in increasing trust among
members.
 Conflict resolution skills: As people with different ideas, culture, experiences
backgrounds etc. work together in a team often conflicts occur among them because of
disagreements or clash of different ideas and perspectives. Effective teams learn to
resolve their conflicts so that they can work together efficiently (Ruder, Stanford and
Gandhi, 2018).
 Encourages healthy risk-taking: People when work together becomes more confident to
take risks that can allow them to make efficient decisions which help in completing the
team work on time and in an effective manner.

Working in teams in workplace is advantageous both for the team members and the
organisation as it help in collaborating the work of team members and coordinating them so that
they can use their skills and talents and help in achieving team goals in effective manner. It help
in generating new and creative ideas by the way of brainstorming and group discussions which
help in increasing the knowledge of members and also help them in becoming more creative with
their thoughts. Through new ideas businesses can meet the new and changing needs of customers
and can also help the members in being more confident about their abilities and skills (Green and
Brennan, 2017).
The team work also contribute towards creating a harmonious and friendly working
environment which help the companies in attracting more talented candidates for jobs and also
help in improving work ethics. The employee engagement also increase which is important for
an organisation to retain its employees and increase productivity of company.

are interdependent on each other, delay in the work of one member can affect the overall team
results. Also people members can become confused and can deviate from their common goals
