Benefits of using machinery in industries and factories
Machinery refers to the machines, tools, and systems man has developed for aid in the
working environment. “The different working environment has specific tools meant for their
exclusive use or application”. Industries and factories refer to the organization and places where
the production of various things happens. Use of machinery is dated to have first seen the light in
the 16th century. Perhaps the first machinery set to be put up was the one used in drawing water
from the well Laursen and Keld.( 2015, 99-115). Later the demand in the textile industry could
not resist mechanization.
The above two aspects belong to the same environment hence the worth to discuss.
“Machinery has been applied and used in factories and industries to ease work and improve the
speed at work for decades”. The improvement in speed has increased the profit margin the
producers or the manufacturers make in a given trade period. The quality has also been
significantly improved, leading to jobs creation. The advantages of using machinery in factories
are numerous, and this give adequate reasons to discuss this topic Fu, Hsin-Pin, and Tsung-
Sheng Chang, (2016, 1741-1756).
The machines were initially manual, later; the electrically driven ones came into play of
the industrial use. Today, the use of machinery has moved to the next level owing form the
internet of things and the revolution of artificial intelligence. For instance, in farming, planting,

weeding, spraying, and harvesting of crops like wheat, potatoes, and maize has been highly
mechanized and improved since they grow and mature at the same pace. “The challenge in the
industry is on the mechanization of berry picking or related machine that requires intelligence at
work to save time and improve efficiency”.
“The use of machinery is the veins of industrial application”. At times it is believed that a
factory is a set of machinery systems meant to perform the specific functions of the industry. The
common perceptions and facts are that machines are the foundation of any industry or factory.
Some factories are basically pieces of machinery with the example of a broadcasting machine in
the media industry. The following are among the main benefits the industry, operators, and users
of the end products are susceptible to enjoy at the end of the day.
Narrowing to the mechanization of wheat or potatoes harvest, it is evident that the ability
and human capacity in this work cannot outdo the mechanical counterpart. “The use of
machinery is faster and can cover vast terrain of land within a short period” Cingano, Federico,
and Paolo Pinotti, (2016, 1-13). This saves the expenses on human power and reduces the risk of
the perishability of the product before the harvesting is complete. The advantage of this aspect is
that we can have few individuals involved in the farming of a product of interest but can meet the
demand of the product.
“Machines in industries functions based on the settings the human operator apply”.
Consequently, the end product is similar in quality and quantity package. Considering a dozen of
water glasses, it is challenging to identify the glass you spotted first after a slight change of the
pattern Turner, Christopher , et al, (2017, 882-894). The case is as a result of the high level of
accuracy in machinery based production for items meant to be similar. The argument above will
take a different course if the item in consideration is a molded clay pot.
