Higher education plays a crucial role in contributing to the physical and mental well-
being of individuals and in enhancing their learning skills. To pursue higher education,
individuals need to work on various skills such as reading comprehension, memorization, time
management , test taking etc. Most of the students decide to pursue their higher education abroad
to enhance their study skills and learn new skills , new experiences by meeting with the new
people and interacting with the new culture (Dewey, 2021). The following report will explain the
benefits of pursuing higher education in UK. It will also cover a reflection on personal
experience of studying in UK.

United Kingdom is one of the top countries for pursuing higher education that provides
education to almost 500000 students from worldwide each year. The universities in UK provide
best teaching on a global level including research and also provides individuals an opportunity to
adapt to the diverse culture there. Pursuing study in UK provides students an opportunity to
enhance skills, knowledge and experience by meeting up with new and diverse culture, new
surroundings and interacting with new people that helps the students in effective development
towards career growth. Apart from this, the following are the main benefits of pursuing higher
education in UK -
The universities in UK follow a very high-quality education system. Students have
options to choose from among the courses of their chosen area or field. Even the short-term
courses in every specialisation are also proved to be very productive for career advancement of
the individuals and also help them in avoiding the high tuition fee and hostel expenditure. Apart
from this, the students can also opt for pursuing Master's degree or Ph.D after competing their
graduation. The universities in UK provide the best research facilities to the individuals and also
include big libraries, laboratories etc.(Liu and Willis, 2021). where students can get more
knowledge from according to their area of specialisation. The universities in UK provide the
courses of short duration that the individuals become graduate sooner as compared to other
universities without compromising with the quality education. The rankings of UK universities is

The UK universities provide education to the students coming from across the world. The

of students in UK as of the year 2021 i.e. almost 45000 students and The university of
Manchester has the second highest number of students i.e. nearly 44000 that include national as
well as international students from different cultures that provide benefits of interacting with
multicultural individuals.
Skills for English Language are very crucial and fundamental to ensure growth and
success in the existing competitive environment of career advancement. Studying in UK
provides the students a best opportunity to improve their English speaking skills and become
fluent. The universities in UK offer different English language courses for different age groups
comprising of fun games, problem solving and discussion that help the individuals in interacting
that facilitates them in improving their English speaking skills in an effective manner (Tooth and
Viles, 2021). Most of the universities in UK offer English course for international students
before the initiation of academics. The course comprises of a foundation year, an Academic
English course and a pre-sessional English course.
Pursuing any degree or a course in UK does not only provide the benefit of improvement
and enhancement of skills and knowledge, but the degree provided by the UK universities are
recognised on a global basis and carry a worth on an international basis. They provide the
individuals with outstanding academic records and help them in getting a good position in a

Reflection
Why have I decided to study in UK
The UK is a home to top universities in the world that provide short duration courses to
the students without compromising with the quality of education. It also helps in improving the
English Language skills of the students (Tebbett, Jöns, and Hoyler, 2021). I have decided to

pursue my studies in UK so as to ensure career advancement and growth and getting a good job
position in a multinational company. My English speaking skills are not fluent that I will have an
opportunity to improve by learning an English language course from a recognised university in
UK. Pursuing a degree in UK will also help me in getting an internationally recognised degree
that holds a major importance on a global basis.
The universities in UK have highest top rankings in the global university ranking, that's
why I have chosen to pursue my further studies in UK. My communication skills will also get
improved by interacting with the multicultural people coming to the universities in UK for the
purpose of getting education there. It will help me in developing interaction with them. By
studying in UK, I will be able to get world-class degrees that will help me in preparing and
succeeding in career. I will also get the benefit of post study work opportunities by the new
graduate route by getting my education with top universities in UK.
CONCLUSION
The above essay has thrown a light on the importance of pursuing studies in UK by way
of explaining the benefits of pursuing higher education in UK that has included improvement in
English speaking skills, high quality education etc. It has also provided the reflective document
