Look with me in your Bible to Romans chapter 1, and we’re going to be looking at verses 16 and
17 tonight. Let me read these two verses to you.
Paul says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For in it is the
righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith”.

INTRODUCTION
Now it is believed that this two particular rhyme from the classical act and the hypothesis

I consider that each individual of us will be recognized as Paul but the fact is that for each and
every individual whether it is you or me is not proud of the teachings of the great Jesus Christ. I
believe that we will not either confess that that is the only way that actually works out. As it was
a time that when we had an opportunity to speak but we did not spoke, when we had the
opportunity to be bold we did not went bold.
Not to be shame is a signature to be bold and to announce un-doubtfully to address great Jesus
Christ. As of any individual who need to be effective has to stand in that particular position.
Let’s face the reality which is a very practical word for the society. Each and every individual for
at least once faced the event of being shamed because of addressing himself or herself or
comparing with the great Jesus Christ.
Although we are uncomfortable we are afraid of the fact that we might be rejected even we were
even afraid that we would fall short to deliver enough words. However, we were not about to live
our lifestyle in a manner we used to if we would have said about great Jesus Christ.
So being it in school, or in social engagement or at work places, we always have been shame of
speaking about the great Jesus Christ. I got many scope in my life to address the great Jesus
Christ but I did not even uttered a single word. I believe that I could have at least said a single
word. We always are in constant fear of worry and fear of reputation because of the strong faith
in existence of the great Jesus-Christ.

However if we are to serve the great Jesus- Christ there is an immense need to overcome with the
situation of embarrassment and constant fear.
Paul well understood the circumstances of those who have faced such difficulty in addressing the
great Jesus-Christ. Because of the gospel he died but never felt shame because of the great Jesus-
Christ. Paul in this phase states that “He is not at all ashamed of the gospel of the great Jesus-
Christ, Now that why Paul was bold? He was bold because of preach.
1 THE SOURCE OF THE GOSPEL. -it is the gospel of Christ
We understand that what it is like to be embarrass someone or ashamed. Infact it even hurts more
when it feels like someone is feeling odd because of you. We can understand the emotion of
shame and embarrassment whichever the side may be.
Paul links the word with the gospel. The message that address the great Jesus-Christ. He turns
around and says that “He is not shame of the gospel, why would he do that. Even why there is a
need to state that he is shame because of the gospel”.
I can even imagine few things that make us feel awkward or shame because of the gospel.

Sometimes normal things like the Christians and the church argues among themselves and make
us feel embarrass. It is true that the Christians do not serve and act like the great Jesus-Christ
used to be. Very often the burden of shame and blame is given upon the gospel.
Even though sometime we embarrass ourselves. We understand the difference between the
gospel and the quality and kind of life that we lead. Hence, we stand nowhere near the great
Jesus-Christ. We are quiet because of our very own sins.
Because of misunderstand in the message of the gospel, it is not regarding us, it is about the great
Jesus-Christ. We should be guilt be guilt because of our own corporate failure and personal
failures.
The gospel itself in nature embarrass us. We live in an environment where the world exerts a
priority on tolerance and open mindedness.
In fact it does. I am like the truth and the life. No one come near to father but by me. The great
Jesus-Christ insisted. “No such other identity is stated among the other men, whereby we must
be saved” preached by Peter. That is not a very famous message that states that spiritual
convictions should not be among the intelligent individuals.
It was because of the source that Paul was not ashamed of the gospel. It is the gospel of great
Jesus-Christ. This is addressed as great news of god. The wise men of the earth are not the

inventor of such. The rich and politically powerful men’s did not set it in trend. It was a direction
and message of god.
It was because of the source of the gospel that Paul was not even ashamed of it.
2. THE STRENGTH OF THE GOSPEL- it is the power of God
When we think of the power we address the sound of a powerful engine or the blast of the bomb.
It was in August 1945, that the US drop its first nuclear bomb over the Hiroshima and later on
Nagasaki. Everything was spoiled and lead to death of millions of people that is something
known as power.
It was in the year 2017, that the hurricane Irma took place in TCI. It is very obvious that it is
power, a power one of a kind but it is not the only kind. It is not the greatest thing as it can only
take power but cannot give life. It can destroy everything but cannot provide a proper direction.
This is the exact message that Paul found in the preaching of the great Jesus-Christ and this is the
gospel that can change a person life towards a good path. Paul believe in fact that the gospel
carries such fact with the supremacy of god.
Men desire to change and did you ever wonder why it is the advertisement that takes place and is
very common. The advertisement conveys message such that they want to look better, feel better,
think better, and have better experiences. They want to adopt a new lifestyle. There is such need

of change because it is very common nature of human world. They need the change but they are
too weak to bring about the required changes within the society,.
In Jeremiah 13:23 it is claimed by Jeremiah that, “Does the leopard has the ability to change its
spot that exists in the body?”, “Can the Ethiopian undertake the change in the skin?”, There is
much like chance of changing a heart. Men’s cannot change they can modify a requirement and
reuse it but they fail to bring about the required changes within the society.
In chapter 26 of the Mathew, the great lord Jesus-Christ was son trial, you should recall the fact
that Peter was hung around the courtyard, the rest of the followers has left him and ran away. In
the phase of 56, it states that they were ashamed that they were with Peter. They were afraid of
their life too. When great Jesus-Christ was captured each and every one ran away as of fear that
their life will be on too much risk.
Peter should had been a little stronger but when the final test was about to happen. According to
the verse of 69, three times he had been lying to Jesus and three times he had been denying to
know him. Thereafter, he began to curse and claim that he do not know Jesus. Soon a cock crows
and he remembered that once Jesus said him that he is going to deny the great Jesus about three
times. Hearing that he went out sadly.
How terrible and how awkward it is, how crud and how unworthy it is to treat the great Jesus-
Christ so. It is an act of negative sin to lie so. We must not have been afraid or cursed the denied

association. In fact we might have been afraid and ashamed of the great Jesus-Christ at some
point of time at a particular place. How sad it is.
According to the chapter 2, of the Peter Pentecost in Act standing with the courage and dignity
states to the whole community of Jerusalem for betraying the great Jesus-Christ.
He calls for regret and soon three thousands of them get converted to Christ. Peter was
transformed because of the power of the god.
The very reason why Paul is not overcome by temptation of being ashamed of the gospel. Paul
believes that the primary passion was to observe to see men being saved.
Paul never gave importance to his personal comfort, neither did he care to look after the
reputation, he did not even care to look after the popularity, and even that his life did not even
offered a compromise. Paul followed and preach the gospel because he had faith in the gospel
that what it could do. It could change the people.
Never should you nor should I take interest in fact of being ashamed of gospel. As it is a means
of power by the God.
3. THE SCOPE OF THE GOSPEL -for all who believes

It was because of the implications for which Paul was not at all ashamed. It was because of the
God’s power, it is the faith, the faith upon which we survive. The faith is a seal of trust. It is a
means of trust and faith that God will save us but God takes care of only those who believes in.
Believe in what? The believe should take place within the heart as of the fact that it was God that
raised him from the dead. He claimed that for a reason he died and later again he woke up from
the grave. Each and every individual who believes has a faith.
Paul was not shame because of the gospel and so should we. It is the source which address it as
the gospel of the Christ, it is the strength for which it is the power of the God, and because of the
possibilities that all believes in. It was not limited in few hands to those who are rich and
powerful. It simply did not provide hope to the one who have figured out the very purpose of the
life.
This message was not about regarding the good people and the bad people. The people who are
not of much importance are not banned from the blessings. The promises are not bound to human
perfections or performance but it is the trust regarding what the great Jesus-Christ has done for
us. This is the blessing of the god that is for each and every individual.
4. THE SECRET OF THE GOSPEL-it reveals the righteousness of God.
Finally, because of the secrets that stays in the gospel Paul was not ashamed. The gospel speaks
about the power of God and what is right or wrong. This message conveys that how a hold God

can spare a criminal individual from the sins. How such act is done by the great God is not a
matter of question for us. It is not even regarding the fact that how good or how bad we are. It is
regarding how a courageous God gave his only son for the cause and sins of ours.
The gospel possess the power to save anyone from the negative deeds and sins if one believes in.
When there is faith in God, God seems to take place for you and remember the history that
Abraham-Lincoln used to have faith in God.
You can see that if I am to be right then I have nothing of my own. God must give me the
righteous and he always does so. You can clearly observe because of our sin the great Jesus-
Christ gave up his righteousness. This is very reason why it is being claimed that we are the
righteousness of the great God he became the sins of our deeds.
It is a very positive thing to stand up for a thing. It is not be considered into favourable account
to preach the gospel is a negative account. We like Paul as from above we can have a clear
understanding that we have a good reason to speak with confidence about the scope, strength,
vales and nature of the gospel messages. But it is even great to be aware of the other prospect of
the coin.
Hebrews chapter 2 verse 10, it is preferable for him, it is the great Jesus–Christ that for whom all
the things and through whom all the things in bringing much of the sons to the glory, for the
perfection of the author, salvation through the sufferings.

The great Jesus-Christ is not guilt or ashamed to address us as their brothers. Do you believe that
there is something positive that comes to great Jesus-Christ by his association or by us? Does he
profit? Or such that it pulls his name downwards. The answer is yes for both the questionnaires.
There are multiple events and acts when we survive, act and speak to given honor to the name of
the great Jesus-Christ, and there are multiple events and acts when we survive, act and speak to

Have you ever wondered that God is never ashamed to be addressed as God of ours? He is not
angry to be addressed as God of ours or yours. Let me put light to the fact that the God suffers a
lot to stay on our side. The number of scandal that took place and the conflicts in regard to the
church, pulling the name of the God in the negative aspects and yet the God is not angry for
pulling its name on our side. The fact that if God is not upset for addressing God as “Our God”
and if the great Jesus-Christ is not having any issue to address as our brother then how come we
be shame of who is not having any sign of sins.
Conclusion
No exist no particular reason for being ashamed and fear of the message that we believe in. We
should be proud the great God and never should be ashamed of the one to whom we worship and
ask for help in times of need. There is no such individual like the God. There exist no such hope
or message that predicts that there is a better promise than this.
Thereby with confidence we can state that “I am not shame of the gospel as it is the power of the
great god unto salvation to everyone who had faith on him. The righteous will exist by faith.
