Christian Ethics is an academic discipline that uses traditions and scriptures for development
and evaluation of ethical norms and there application on issues.
Moral Philosophy
Moral Philosophy is mainly concerned with how people live an ethical life. Normative,
Methathics and Applied Ethics are some of its parts.
Role of Jesus Christ in formulation of Christian doctrine
The whole Christian Doctrine is based on the work of Jesus Christ. All the ideals, hopes and
convictions which are given are part of his work1.
Universally Similar Ethics in all Human Societies
Peace- The peace is one of the major ethics in all the human societies as peace is
the major similarity in every human society.
Equal Rights- This states that there must be equal rights between men and women.
Continuous Social Progress- Growth is one of the major requirements of any
society
Freedom- In any society people must have the freedom in every aspect.
Central teaching of Ethics of Jesus
The Central teaching includes Justice, Courage, Hope, Cautiousness and Charity, prudence,
faith and temperance.
Role of God in moulding the character of a Christian
It is believed that all the ethics of Christ are the ethics of the God.
Christian ethics without the teachings of the Christ
No, because there is a difference in the prospective that requires the person to translate the
teachings to individual behaviours, words and attitudes which are relevant while remaining
faithful to spirit of his teachings. Teachings are basically the practical application of Christian
ethics.
