Introduction
Building information model can be referred to as the digital
representation of the functional and physical characteristics of
the facility. it is considered as the shared knowledge resource
for the information regarding facility that forms the reliable
basis in the decision making during the life cycle. x

The participants who are being involved in the process of building are challenged constantly for delivering
the successful project, despite of various factors such as limited staffing, tight budget, conflicting or limited
information and accelerated schedules. This concept in fridges virtual construction of the facility before its
actual construction in a physical manner. for removing or reducing the uncertainty and improving the
safety, the subcontractors may input the critical information in the model from adds every trade before the
beginning of the construction.

as used and by this there are different associated risk are the
legal implications which are present during the project. the
building information model is not being addressed
contractually however contacting for the BM is not being
expected to be extensive for some of the applications. The
BMI is applied across the specific stages of built environment
life cycle.

Crossrails is the project of 2 billion pounds which is aimed to deliver the high capacity service as well
as high frequency to approximately 37 stations that connects Maidenhead in West to the shinfield in
east through 21 kilometre of the new 10 board tunnels under the central London. The Great Western,
great eastern as well as north Kent are the main lines that are connected to the central London that
reduces the journey time as well as elevates the congestion to the London transport network. the
building information model was being used in this project where in the increased entrance or exit on the
platform length of 250 meters was built which is aimed to create the premier poor experience
commuter.

Future implications
The construction industry lags behind in adopting BIM. Less than the 1% of construction
companies revenue go back into technology research and development and BIM. There will be
development of robots that will work in team for developing complex structures by taking use of dynamic
materials. The drones flying overhead will scan the site constantly, inspecting work and use data collected
for predicting & solving problems. There will be no human involvement by sending instructions to robotic
cranes and diggers & automated builders.

Conclusion
From the above it is being concluded that the effective and efficient use of BIM will help in increasing
competitiveness of construction firms. The use of technology provides the information regarding the possible
impact on labour and material costs along with time constraints. This provides the project owner with effective
management of project schedule, cost, quality, safety, and functions. It is compatible with all project delivery
methods.
