Domain Image-guided information security through door access
Project name Biometric authentication based scanning for image-guided information security through door access
Key words Door access control system, biometric security, IoT, office/workplaces
1. Introduction Background
Information,
Issues and
Current Solutions
1. One of the quickly expanding access control mechanisms is biometrics in the workplaces. Door
access system at workplaces relies on biometric technology for access control mechanism. However,
in some place, well reception is not found by an employee which impact control accessibility. One
challenge is privacy issues with organizational collection and its system. Another is the processing
speed issue which is time-consuming. To address these cases there are several current technologies
such as Floating-Point Biometric Accelerator, RFID, the mapping between the Employee Groups, etc.
It uses biometric recognition algorithms, Gesture based biometric system, Multi-stage access level etc
as the techniques of Biometric authentication in the domain of Security door access in Official
workplaces.
Shortcomings/
limitations in the
current /existing
solutions
2. However, the context awareness is to be generated in the system against many malicious attacks
such as spoofing cases. Further, the speed of decision making is in need to be enhanced that can stop
hindering the valuable time expense of employees. The major issue arises in a biometric system is
image error and illumination of the image which impact recognition process while door access. Thus
an overall enhancement of system is in need to be addressed.
Importance of
solving this
problem
3. For complete feature, performance and aim development of the scheme critical decision-making
ability shall be targeted in this research work. Further, for enhancement in security scheme and
allowance to eliminate the error percentage this research shall be executed.
2. The Main objective
and purpose of this
research
1. Objectives of research are:
To develop a low-cost biometric recognition system for secure access provision
To reduce the processing and identification as well as feature extraction process while increasing its speed
Biometric Authentication Based Scanning for Image-Guided Information Security Through Door Access_1

To develop smart decision-making system with adaptable abstraction level.
3. Questions need to be
answered
1. How to reduce the processing and identification as well as feature extraction process while increasing its speed?
2. How the smart decision-making system will be developed?
3. How the implementation of low-cost biometric recognition system for secure access provision will be done?
4. A Brief Description
of Your Proposal
With the adoption of biometric recognition algorithms designed for speed the process, a low-cost system is projected to be
formulated. The multi-stage access level for identification shall be introduced else known to be a floating-point unit. RFID
based access control system shall be discussed to be improvised further aiming at both hardware and software controllers.
The gesture-based biometric system is proposed to be introduced in existing systems for multiple biometrics and reduced
error cases.
5. The Process or
Methodology of Your
Project
Exploration of the issues of the biometric authentication system and compare the strengths and weaknesses of
scanning t6hrough biometric identification.
Proposition of Raspberry Pi technique for better authentication and manage the image quality to improve
authentication system.
Evaluate the techniques of biometric authentication to control access of door and manage security related to image
guided information.
5. Expected Outcomes Following are the expected outcome of the research:
Seamless real-time processing access providing security system using biometric data of employees
Accuracy in feature extraction and decision making of biometric data recognition with the use of Bloom filter
techniques
Multi-level biometric screens for additional security and elimination of privacy issues with the cryptographic key
generation system
