INTRODUCTION
The analysis of data is a method for review, purification, transformation and simulation of
data in order to identify valuable details, notify assumptions and facilitate decision taking. The
empirical data contains various dimensions and methods, including a broad range of strategies
and being used in numerous areas of business, sciences and social sciences. Data analysis plays a
role in taking more scientific decisions and helping companies to operate more efficiently in the
business world of today. On the behalf of analysed data set, companies take crucial decisions for
further time period (Allen, Bean and De Gregorio, 2016). The covers detailed information about
various aspects such as analysis of data that is processed under excel sheet by using different
functions like PIVOT table, sorting and many more. Along with visual examination of data is
also done by help of various kinds of charts.
TASK
Compare the South East region with the North West region:
a. Analysis:
Data analysis plays a role in taking more scientific decisions and helping companies to
operate more efficiently in the business world of today. Data are collected in conjunction with
the work from different sources. After data are gathered, a hypothesis or other form of result will
be reviewed and evaluated. Data analyses play an essential role as far as company is concerned
as choices entail such uncertainties or ambiguity. To order to curiously analyse every aspect of
the data gathered and presented, data analysis is method of analysing evidence based on rational
and empirical reasoning. The data collected and afterwards reviewed additional assistance
decision makers reduce the risk of a specific decision. In this regard following is comparative
analysis of South East region with the North West region based on the data provided, as follows:
In terms of nature of business- Under south east region, most of the people prefer to micro
business under that 5 to 9 employees work. While in the North West region, there is medium
business whose employee strength is of 20 to 49 employees. It is showing that both regions have
different types of businesses. In comparative manner this can be stated that under North West
region, companies are big and have a greater number of staff in their businesses. On the other
hands, in south east region most of the companies are small that have limited strength of staff
members (Bentley, Mullen. and Wilson, Bentley Systems, 2019).

In terms of firm trading and ownership- Under south east region, business is trading for 2 years
but less than to 3 years. On the other hands in the North West region most of the business entities
are trading for 5 years but less then to 6 years. This is showing that in North West region, firms
have more time period for trading and ownership (Mi, H and et.al., 2017).
In terms of extent to which surviving has been a significant concern for business – In the south
east region, surviving for businesses is not very significant. While in North West region, it is
significant and companies can survive easily. It is indicating that both regions companies
consider survival in a distinct manner. As under south east region companies do not consider that
survival for their business is necessary. On the other hands, under North West this is essential for
their companies that survival is a key aspect for their companies.
Role of received information for need of business- In the aspect of south east region, the
gathered information is useful for companies in order to raise funds in an effective manner from
various kinds of sources. While in the North West region, information is useful to deal with
different regulations, taxation. It is indicating that for both regions, role of information is
different because under south west regions, companies just want to use the information for
raising funds that is not a huge task. While in the North West region, companies want to use this
information to understand about how to cope up or deal with regulations and taxation that are
regulated by government of different regions (Wang, Palavicini, Cseresznye and Han, 2017).
Types of organization that supplied the information- In the aspect of south east region, the
needed information is provided by solicitor businesses. On the other hands, in the North West
region information is provided enterprise agencies. It is showing that under both regions,
information is provided by different companies. In the south east regions, information is
provided by solicitor business that has traditionally been involved in most legal issues in certain
jurisdictions. An individual must be legal-defined to be recognized as a lawyer to be eligible to
practice as such in various jurisdictions. On the other hands, in the North West, enterprise
agencies provided key information to companies who involved in different tasks.
Company who approach first- In the aspect of south east region, the company that approached
first is solicitor businesses. On the other hands, in the North West region, enterprise agencies
approached first to provide needed information.
Is information lead the business for success or better than it- In the aspect of south east region,
the provided information by organizations do not make any huge difference in the performance

of their operations. While in the North West region, firms do not know about impact of
information of their performance. It is showing that companies of both regions considered
provided information in a different manner. Such as in the south east region, the information is
not used in an effective manner and due to which it did not help them. On the other side, in the
North West companies use the information that helped them in a significant manner.
Reason for which information is not considered- In the aspect of south east region, this was
difficult for businesses to find out appropriate assistance. On the other hands, in the North West
region the obtaining assistance was too expensive due to which companies do not acquired the
information for consideration inside the functions. In both regions, information is not considered
due to different reasons such as in the south east region, they find issues to get assistance from
which information can be derived. While in the companies of North West, they did not consider
to information because of higher expense (Meule, Michalek, Friederich and Brockmeyer, 2020).
Payment to advisor as per hour- In the south east region, most of the companies want to pay
amount between 26 pounds to 50 pounds to the advisor for one hour. While in the North West
region, firms do not have any idea about how much they should make payment to the advisor for
the time which they invest in company for providing key information.
Objective of business in last three years- The main objective of companies in south east region to
make plan for business closure. While in the North West region, the key objective of business
entities to provide better quality of goods and services to the customers. This is showing that in
the south east region, companies do not want to continue their business due to external factors.
While in the North West region, companies want to gain higher profitability by providing best
quality of products and services.
Approx. turnover of business in last financial year- In the last year turnover of south east
companies was around 100000 pounds to 249999 pounds. On the other hands, in the North West
region the turnover of companies was of 1 million pounds to 1.49 million pounds. This is
indicating that in the south east region, business entities are unable to generate higher volume of
profitability in the last financial year. While in the North West region, companies are able to
produce higher amount of profit that is in millions. This situation can be because of their
working conditions or external factors that have a significant impact on companies’ performance.
Age group of customers in different regions- In the south east region, the age of most of
customers is around 25 to 34 years. This is showing that under this region most of the customers

are of young age. On the other hands, under North West region the age group of most of the
customers is around 55 years to 64 years. This is indicating that under North West region,
majority of customers are of old age. Basically, it is the reason for which companies under this
region are more successful and generating higher amount of revenues as compared to companies
located in the south east region (Haley and Klingberg, Emeramed, 2017).
Urban and rural breakdown- In the south east region, most of area is covered under village and
sparse. While in the North West region, majority of area covered as towns, fringe and less sparse.
This is indicating that in the North West region, the area is developed and more scope for
companies.
(b). Interesting Key Findings:
The UK was controlled by London and South East. as per analysis Production in South East was
high, but comparatively small compared to other sectors. The distinctive characteristic of South-
East is their healthcare, banking and maritime services sectors. Administrative policy
departments in London are focused. The offices of companies are often usually in London.
During the recent slowdown and fall in exports arising from government's anti-inflation policies,
leading to lower relative value of produce to the Southern East economy. The Kingdom First
country to develop national policy. Federal policy. Urban development projects in the poorest
communities were introduced. Regional politics in the United Kingdom. It was geared
towards economically disadvantaged regions by steering job development away from London.
That didn't always succeed. North West economy developed in Industrial Revolution.
Population of development rose on economic basis. The North-West region's number is just the
second behind South East of UK. Yet conventional industrial sectors do not survive in face of
global competition. The depletion has been caused by pesticides, cars, constructing houses,
machinery, textiles and clothes. As a result, immigration rate has recently occurred outside the
country. As stated in given excel variable values of South east and south west is 2 and 3
respectively (Siglinskys and et.al., 2018). Here interesting fact is that response of question three
shows that in south east, bank, workshop or seminar, border agency, Business Link (telephone,
face to face, workshop/ seminar), Business Link website, Business membership organisation,
Buyer or Supplier of products and services, Chamber of Commerce, DCI, Formal business
networking group, Government organisations /websites, Solicitor and Management / Business
Consultant are responded positively to the question that Since business has been founded /

Over last three years, private sector organizations or experts have used your company support or
guidance to get strategic guidance to help them transform business. While in case of south west,
in Developing IT systems or the company website, Developing or introducing new products,
services or processes, entering new export markets, managing cashflow, raising finance,
Recruiting or developing staff, Sales and Marketing areas they response to the above same
question is yes. Moreover, for the question of will you categorize your organisation primarily for
profit-making, as a charitable or private sector agency, or as a government-funded body, the
response of targeted audience is also interesting as the in case of south east, workshop or
seminar, bank, Border Agency, chambers of commerce, Enabled survival of business and SMMT
responded yes while in south west, organisations dealing with regulation, tax and compliance
issues, IT systems or the company website, introducing new products, services or processes and
managing cash flows are responded in yes (Grbich, 2012).
(c) Make recommendations about areas which require further support.
In accordance of above done analysis, this can be stated that both regions have different
types of companies and other perspective. In comparative manner, this can be found out that
south east region needs to further support. This is so because in most of the areas they are facing
issues. Such as turnover of their companies are less then to companies of North West regions. As
well as the majority of area is covered as rural but, in the region, the area is covered in towns (
Schabenberger and Gotway, 2017).
In addition to this, companies of both regions have different types of objective such as in
the south east companies do not want to continue their business. As well as closure of business is
the main objective for them. On the other side, in the North West companies want to continue
their business and they want to serve their customers by providing best quality of products and
services. So, on the basis of above done analysis, this can be stated that south west region needs
to further support so that their business can grow up and they can sustain for long run. Both
regions cover a significant area in overall national market. Emphasising towards both the regions
can accelerated the growth of UK. Although their working culture, organisations are different but
as per analysis in coming year they will achieve growth (Woodward, 2013). Moreover, it is
recommended here that in North West Region more efforts are required as the most of the
companies and business organisations are of medium size and belongs to rural areas.
Infrastructure development is core need of that region as this can help North West Region in

developing and achieving the growth in coming years. Position as per above analysis of North
East region is much better as there mostly organisations have higher turnover and large number
of employees as wells the other related facilities like bank and financial institutions are mover
active in such region so it seems that this region is more developed than west. Thus, here it is
recommend for north region to explore new business areas and put more efforts towards new
research and development to retain present position.
CONCLUSION
Form the above study it has been articulated that big data can helps organisations,
combining data from the business sector, to generate new opportunities for growths and to
develop new classifications of businesses. Such firms have ample knowledge about services and
goods that they are able to identify and evaluate, customers and suppliers, customer expectations.
A pivot table requires user-specified field to transform each column's headers into user-friendly
data alternative. Data columns could be quickly deleted, inserted or relocated across table. User-
friendly and insightful descriptions of long existing data tablets can be formed here. Data may be
interpreted in various forms including percentages and concentrations.
