Key learnings: The key learnings for this article is that teacher need to acquire new skills
and development to help the students to prepare and overcome their challenges and issues.
With the change in teaching styles over the time, teachers also need to change their teaching
methods to match with their students. Another fact is that teachers need to provide active
support to the students based on their area of expertise to enable the students to learn better.
Application to Mentoring Plan: The above learning could help me in my mentoring plan
because I can enhance my skills and develop myself to learn new ways to help my mentee in
his problems and lessons.

Part 2: MENTORING PLAN IMPLEMENTATION
A. Mentoring goals
Three mentoring goals are as follows:
1. My mentee and I will go through an important chapter and understand the implication that
it has in the classroom.
2. My mentee and I will plan an activity which will enable him to overcome the issues that he
had been facing in the class lesson and ensure that he is able to understand the lessons in the
future.
3. My mentee and I will discuss about the importance of the subjects that have been included
in the lesson plan and how to form a routine which will enable him to remain updated about
the things that are being taught in the classroom.
B. Measurement of success
The three ways that success can be measured are as follows:
1. I will conduct an examination regarding the lesson that I have taught my mentee which
will enable me to understand how well he has read the chapter.
2. I will take feedback from my mentee regarding the lesson that were difficult to him and get
to know if he is still facing the same issue or have been able to overcome it.
3. I will check my mentee’s classroom activities and homework on a daily basis to know if he
has kept himself updated with the everyday work of the classroom.
C. Resources to implement mentoring plan
The resources that are needed to implement the mentoring plan are as follows:

BLC MENTORING ASSIGNMENT
1. Time – Time is the most important resource that is needed to implement my mentoring
plan. Proper and sufficient time is needed to make my mentor my mentee as lack of time can
create issues of understanding for my mentee.
2. Materials – Materials are also needed to acquire a successful mentoring plan. Proper books
and notes for the lessons that I will teach my mentee is needed for him to grasp the lesson
better.
3. Space – Space or location for my mentoring is also an important resource. The mentoring
should be done in a calm and peaceful location where the mentee can concentrate on the
things that I am teaching him. Any place which has a lot of noise and accumulation of people
would not be suitable for him.
D. Timelines for mentoring plan
The timelines for the mentoring plan are as follows:
1. My mentee and I will meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening for the
mentoring sessions.
2. Every Monday a review will be done about the lessons that have been taught in the
classroom the previous week.
3. Every Wednesday the difficult lessons would be handled and explained to my mentee.
4. Every Friday all pending homework given by the teachers would be completed by my
mentee with my help if needed.
5. Every second week of the month a test will be conducted by me on the lessons that I have
completed with my mentee.
