1 BLOG WRITING The change in climate across the globe is a major issue that has been faced by every country. The issues need to be addressed and the countries in the west have been working to resolve the issues. The first world countries have been the major contributors in the process of increasing deforestation around the world which creates climatic change in the world. The development of the countries have put pressure on the environment as they have resulted in the depletion of the resources. There local communities play a major role in the sustainability oftheenvironment.Theyholdaprominentroleinprovidingmeasurestosavethe environment. People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth was a movement that was organized by the people to stage protests against the authorities who are indulging in the activities that cause harm to the environment. The local and indigenous communities work to maintain harmony and balance in the environment. The world is facing danger of diminishing due to the human activities and the future of earth is also in danger. The forest land is being cleared to make room for industrial activities which has led to the wiping away of the native population. The native population was considered the guardian of the forest land which provided them with the resources that they needed for their survival. The multinational companies for their own selfish interests intervene in the ecological process for resources of oil and mining activities which puts pressure on the environmental resources. The capitalists system is the main contributor to the fact of taking away the land of the natives from them as they drove them away. Development is used as a veil by the capitalist system to snatch away the rights of the natives from their own lands. It follows the civilizing model which is paternal in nature and has resulted in the destruction of the ecological balance and destruction of the human race. These activities increased after the era of industrialization. In the conference it was proposed that the right to live, to be respected, clean air, water as a resource to life and to manage the radioactive wastes that cause harm to the nation and to have comprehensive health facilities. To reduce the effect of the greenhouse

The ambitious development programs should not hamper the sustainability of the environment that may lead to the loss of habitable land for the sustenance of humans and biodiversity. In New Zealand government has acknowledged the pleas of activists that has resulted in declaring the rivers and forests as legal persons who have their own set of rights and are protected by the laws of the country. All these steps taken by the government prove that the urge to save the environment is need of the hour.
