Task One
1. Concept of personal and professional development
The personal development refers to the lifelong process and considered as away in which
the individual assess their skills and abilities and set goals in their life in order to realize and
attain higher potential (Hopkins and Reid, 2018). In contrast to it professional development
basically involves the development of the person in a role more specifically to the job and the
way one can further improve it. It accounts for enhancing the necessary skills for professional
growth and development of the individual.
2. Value of short term goals
The short term goals acts as milestone in respect to the reaching the long term goals in
life. It helps in determining how far one has gone in pertaining to reaching the final destination
(Visser, Post and Buis, 2017). Based on my current requirement I need to work on improving
planning and decision-making skills, attain in-depth knowledge on leading business external
activities and writing skills which is very useful in my career development and gaining better job
opportunities.
3. Value of medium term goals
The medium tern goals is the one which takes more time than short term but less than
long term. It is the goal which can be completed within 1 to 5 years of time (Broders, 2020). My
medium term goal is to gain commercial awareness, widening my knowledge on leadership skills
and leading a team.
4. Value of long term goals
It is the goals which are required to be accomplished in future and needs lot of time and
planning (Ali Ali, 2017). My long term goals is to build confidence as a leader, building core
business skills and enhancing team working and managerial skills.

Task Two
Author- Author is an important part in giving references on working projects, references
provide appreciation to the author of that particular articles/book. It is also a liability of those
who are taking help from that to give due credit to author for taking help from their books/
articles (Walle, Reschke, and Knothe, 2017). Author in important in any reference it is words of
author that are been put in project so selection of author is important to improve productivity of
project.
Purpose- Every project is made with based on some study, why to select that topic? In
references, purpose becomes more crucial to provide more reliable and meaningful research
some times references lose its importance just because of out of context references not are been
provided.
Reliability- references is provided to justify reliability of the content with topic that has
been selected, due to this many times' reader of project go through to check authentication and
reliability references (Dubossarsky, and et.al., 2019). So it duty of to provider to put more
reliable references to topic that is selected.
Relevance- some times references that are provided is not related to topic of project and
need some other references to be given. So the references related to topic makes more impact
and reliability level to reader and also increases importance of research.
