INTRODUCTION
Academic skills refer to set of those abilities that help an individual to achieve greater
success in their life. Each ability or skill they may use in the future to grow their professional
career, even better than the other candidates. The study will explain the concept of professional
& personal development. It will justify the importance of short, medium and long term goals,
with 3 personal examples in each category. Furthermore, the report will clarify the significance
of personal development plan, with constructing PDP by using identified examples.

Defining the concept of personal and professional development
Personal development-
It considered as ongoing activity that has been conducted by many people or learners to
assess their life aims and build own skills even better than earlier, which is quite important for
everyone (What is Personal Development, 2021). It is one of the best ways, which enable an
individual to better comprehend own self and unique potentials they already have in term of
skills and capabilities that they may utilize according to situational demand, whether it relate to
personal or professional. Personal development is one of those concepts that gives power to a
candidate to concentrate on increasing their self-awareness, considering at life aims, long
standing ambitions and personal challenges that may affect recently and in the future. The main
reason for conducting practices related to this concept that it helps to assess individual person
key strengths and weaknesses as well, which they take improve in life by using effective and
beneficial methods. Not only this, personal development planning may give lot more advantages
that assist to achieve desire needs and fulfil dreams, which is not that easy for anyone to reach as
