Personal development fits alongside professional growth so if you want to progress in your career, you'll need to develop personally first. Apart from that it also involves Description and discussion of the value of a Personal Development Plan. Concept of personal and professional development Concept behind the aspect of personal and professional development by evolving abilities possessed by different individuals they can learn new things which can help them to manage their work and that will help them to keep up with change. With the help of such things individual will be able to make progress in their career. They need to make sure that they never leave the side of training or learning more things because more knowledge they gain more beneficial it will be for them. The whole motive and purpose of this concept is to keep on improving self skills in order to get better (Pérez Cavana and Lowe, 2018). Value of short term goals Short term goals are the starting journey for the individual and path for them which if achieved in the right manner can make the way for medium or long term goal. By the progress they have made in time they can make sure that how far they have come along from the point they started. It is believed by many individuals that in order to achieve goals for long term it is important to break them in short term. For instance, goals such as improving reading skills and working on oral and written form of communication will be part of short term goals (Sasson and Miedijensky, 2020). Value of medium term goals Mid term goal offers best between both the goals which will be long enough to make progress that will be significant and will also cover a short state so that individual does not change with time by the time they have achieved that goal. Another benefit for mid term goal is that duration for this goal can be set over their lifetime. Although there are not many people who prefers to do that (Wailey and Sambade).
Value of long term goals These goals are concerned with improving on self-basis. Most of the people achieve this form of goal by working with dedication on it and it is there striving for the goal that helps them to reach their position. In order to form and develop a plan for this sort one must have to go through their weakness and analyse areas of improvement so that it can be done in the right and efficient manner. Only then it will be able to give results that are effective. In order to draft it in the right manner it must have the required qualities such as professional role or current responsibilities, level of knowledge and areas where to improve it. This is the reason why I have a bit of confidence for this skill that I will be able to make progress in that in less amount of time. I need to improve my lack of professionalism in this skill as in order to lead people it is important for me to follow all the guidelines and instructions setup by management so that I can lead them This skill cannot be attained easily as it takes lot of time and patience.
