INTRODUCTION Growth and development are crucial factors that builds personal and professional living of a person ( Boucher and Friot, 2017). The report covers values and discussion on short, medium and long term goals. It further evaluates eight sources ion the basis of reliability, relevance, purpose and author. TASK 1 Personal and professional development The concept of personal addition to professional development is a structured framework that assist in learning and growth of an individual throughout the career (Ely, Burton and Ormrod, 2020.). It engages people in development procedures for meeting challenges in their professional life. Discussion on values of short term goals Short term goals refers to the cognitive content which are set for nearer future which can be today,this month or a year (Hammersley, 2020). The duration to accomplish such goals ranges between one day to one year. Mentioned below are short term goals: ï‚·To improve performance numbers in six months. ï‚·To enhance networking along with communication skills in coming ten months. ï‚·To improve my overall academic performance within 12 months. Discussion on medium term goals Medium term goals attainment takes bit longer. The goals are set for two months till three years for accomplishment (Choi and Park, 2013). This kind of goal offers best of the world that is long enough for making necessary progress The examples related to medium term goal are as follows: ï‚·To complete the course with extra ordinary grades within three years of period. ï‚·To enhance note taking abilities in one year. ï‚·To polish my creativity and innovation in two years. Discussion on long term goals The word long term goals is concerned with short and medium term goals and takes duration of around three to five or more years for attainment (Ford, 2017). vision of a person for career and their personal life. Examples related to long term goals are as follows: ï‚·To become industry leader in my expertise field with building brand in coming five years. ï‚·To develop relationship management skill within four years. ï‚·To buy own property and life a happy married life in coming five years. Value of Personal development plan Personal development plan refers to a structure manner of enhancing qualities that a person holds within as well as makes their dream turning towards reality (Varshneya and Das, 2017). It is pursuit to improve oneself with conscious habits together with activities. In case with a student, personal development plan provides a framework to recognise own strengths, weaknesses and then capitalising the existing one with relevant resources and actions (Bintani, 2020). TASK 2 How aspects related to reliability, author, relevance and purpose affect usage of a source With a source, elements like author, relevance, purpose along with reliability are attached with impacts on utility of a source.
