This journal article is based on a study that was conducted to assess breast cancer awareness and
screening in Philippines. 944 women participated in the study and its results revealed a
discrepancy between regular breast cancer screening and actual screening behaviors. The study
concluded that establishing efficient educational initiatives that heighten women’s awareness
concerning breast cancer and encourage early screening adoption are essential steps of reducing
the burden brought about by this ailment amongst the women in the South Asian, particularly
Philippines and other low- to middle-income nations.
Various aspects of this journal article make it a credible source. It was published this year
implying that the content contained in it is not archaic rather based on the most current issues
revolving around early screening of breast cancer. The authors have also taken into consideration
views and findings of other researchers who have addressed this issue before. As a result, this
article will be very useful in my issue. It will be a reliable point of reference and an eye opener
into the current trends on the issue of breast cancer screening and diagnosis.

when to commence this screening and how often to undergo it are quite difficult and should be
conducted based on the woman’s preferences.
