1. Identify the six steps in the performance management
process
The steps of effective performance management include:
Establishment of effective performance standard
Keeping the staffs informed about the performance
expectation
Measuring the actual performance
Comparing the performance of the staffs with that of the
established performance standard
Discussing the appraisals with that of the staffs
Initiating the corrective action for improving the performance
of the staffs
2. Develop a Performance Management Checklist for
managers, based on the process, as a guide when
undertaking this role.
In order to manage the performance of the staffs, it is imperative
for the managers of corporate entities to set the performances
standard, based on which the performance is gouging to be
measured (Richards
et al. 2019). The performance management
checklist is as follows:
Handling the technical aspects for the sake of reviewing the
performance of the staffs appropriately
Understanding the current practices for the staffs
Aligning the performance of the staffs with that of the
organisational goals and objectives
Identifying the expected future performance of the staffs
Recognising the factors which can improve the performance
