QUESTION 1
Access the current WHS legislation in your State or Territory and describe the
obligations of each of the parties below:
Employees – All the employees are needed to do their complete health test, for their own
self and their families. They are also bound to do regular check up of the whole body and
have a certificate to maintain their health and safety.
Supervisors – All supervisors are advised to do their regular check up and make sure that
while the team is following the instructions and having regular checkups and maintaining the
safety measures while going towards the types of equipment to work on.
Managers/business owners- They must make proper safety and management measures to
make sure the team is maintaining the full tenure of safety and security; they must do regular
audits to maintain the health and safety (Puplampu, & Quartey, 2012).

All the policies should be written in a proper form and rules and regulations must be

and small workshops.

The control measure must follow from basic to the extreme levels. They should start from

guard should check the requirements, basic alarms and detectors to check any unacceptable
thing then finally terminating the individual who doesn’t follow the process (Floyde, et.al
2013)

Mostly those organizations are required to take safety measures that have big and dangerous
industries and people working close to them. This will make them highly potential to
hazardous risks that can be due to the toxic chemicals used or do the big blades and gears in
touch with the people. They are required to make strong measure to avoid the risks in future
(Puplampu, & Quartey, 2012).

True or false? ”Health and safety representatives do not require formal training; they
simply use common sense when making decisions.” Explain your answer
False, Health expert definitely requires some sort of formal training that will help them
understand the basic requirements of the industry, the type of working conditions and then
going forward to analyze the resources and making the employees trained enough to deal
with the issues themselves (Dwomoh, et.al. 2013).

True or false? “Once health and safety policies and procedures have been written, they
should never be altered, even if they are ambiguous and confusing.” Explain your
answer.
False, the policies can always be altered in order to meet the new demands and supplies of the
industry. They can be changed any number of times as per the needs.

Apart from the legislative requirements, describe in your own words why you believe it
is important for organisations to adopt a collaborative and consultative approach to
managing occupational health and safety.
It is always required for the management to maintain the health and safety of the employees
in order to keep them safe and healthy to maintain a healthy and safe work environment for
the employees. This will increase the productivity as well of the employees (Dwomoh, et.al.
2013).

How would you suggest that organisations who are not required to establish a health
and safety committee, undertake the following?
a) Provide information to work for teams on identified hazards and risks.
They give regular notices and mails to make them understand the potential hazards.

colleagues or team members in the area of workplace health and safety. In your
description please include:
a) The training/coaching need and how it was identified
The basic training to maintain the safety by wearing safety gears, it was identified through a
serious incident that happened earlier.
b) The approach is taken to deliver the training/coaching
Through the proper seminar, audio and video methods were used to do so.
c) The outcome.
The risk of safety reduced to 50% and health by 30%.
QUESTION 12
a) When should incident and accident forms be completed, and how do these records
contribute to the identification and possible prevention of workplace incidents and
accidents?
They should be completed immediately and reviewed by the senior team members. They
contribute to the learning’s to the next generation and the industry will take protective
measures for the same eventually.
