Instructions for assessor
This task requires the student to demonstrate skills and knowledge required to seek and evaluate
feedback on their own workplace performance.
The student is required to gather feedback from their superior, colleagues and clients, as well as
evaluating own performance and determine how their quality of output can be improved. They will
they report on the process and results.
The assessor should begin by clarifying their expectations for the report including examples. The
headings for each section of the report are outlined in the Assessment Task and should be used
as a guide to help structure the report.
Ensure that your reinforce that evidence must be supplied, where appropriate, to the student’s
self-evaluation of work performance.
Assign the Assessment Task during session 2 and consider allowing students to complete it over
the duration of the course. This will allow them enough time to undertake the task in their chosen
workplaces and reflect on the outcomes.

Student Instructions
After completing your project/task set out in Assessment Task 1, you are now required to gather
feedback on the task from your manager/supervisor, colleagues and clients (where applicable).
This Assessment Task also requires you to evaluate your own performance and determine how
the quality of your output can be improved.
You are required to analyse your work performance during the project undertaken in Assessment
Task 1. If possible, you should relate your performance to the knowledge and skills you apply in
your everyday job role. This assessment requires you to conduct a 360° evaluation – this means
evaluating and seeking feedback from:
yourself
at least one team member
manager
customers/clients (if possible).
You will then need to document an evaluation of your performance in a report.
You are also required to plan the feedback methods using an appropriate evaluation method.
The assessment task is due on the date specified by your assessor. Any variations to this
arrangement must be approved in writing by your assessor.

Performance objective
You will demonstrate skills and knowledge required to seek and evaluate feedback
on your own workplace performance.
Procedure
1. Identify your work objectives and responsibilities and set performance
benchmarks against which you can evaluate your performance. Use objectives
and benchmarks from Assessment task 1.
2. Assess your own performance against the benchmarks you have set.
3. Using the evaluation survey in Appendix 1 as a guide, seek and gather
feedback on your personal work performance to measure against the
benchmarks you have set. Seek feedback from:
a. at least one team member from Assessment Task 1
b. your manager (or assessor if you don’t have a manager)
c. a customer/client (where applicable).
4. Gather a range of relevant feedback to enable you to determine whether you
are meeting your work performance objectives and the organisational standards
expected of you.
5. Evaluate your findings and complete a report about work performance, under
the five headings below.
