Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal and professional development can be describe as the process which is
significant for increasing personal capability and potential. It is essential for individual to
analyses and evaluate their own skills and knowledge as this is significant for personal and
professional development (Dover, Kressler and Lozano, 2020). It is refer as the process in
which person and organization is engaging to learning practices with the motive of dealing
with various challenge. Personal and professional development plan is significant for
identifying the skills which are lacking with in person as well as determining method that is
significant for improving skills which are lacking. This is proper structured format that will
includes improvement needs along with the time duration for successfully attaining goals.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals identifying at least 3
personal examples

Short term goals are the objective that is set in order to attain in smaller time duration.
It is valuable as in this individual will focus on one thing at a time. Short term goals is
significant for defining and determining the path of success by attaining objectives. It is
valuable as it will motivate and encourage individual to work more effectively for
accomplishing short term goal. For example -
I will increase my communication skills with in next 4 months.
I will focus on increasing time management skills in 3 months.
I will wake up early by 15 minutes for workout.
Description and discussion of the value of medium term goals identifying at least 3
personal examples
Medium term goals can be define as the planning for intermediate goals. It is
valuable as through this individual will be able to successful attain goals which is set form
approx 1 to 3 years. In this person will get sufficiently amount of time to work effectively
and attain desired goals (Kowal, 2020). Example -
To complete course of digital marketing with in one year.
To increase salary pay by 21 % in next year.
To purchase a luxury car in 2 years.
Description and discussion of the value of long term goals identifying at least 3 personal
examples
Long term goal is refer as the objective individual want to achieve in future. This can
be consider as the life time goals of a person and individual work whole life to attain long
term goals. Examples of long term goals are -
To buy a house in 5 years.
To go on world tour.
To start own business.
Description and discussion of the value of a Personal Development Plan and
construction of an example using my goals
Personal development plan is significant for successfully increasing and developing
capability and potential of a person in order to attain desired goals (Diak and et.al., 2020).
This is process which is valuable for guiding and directing individual to personal growth and

development. For example I want to increase my skills and knowledge for attaining growth in
career.
Task Two:
Description and discussion of how ‘Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance’ affect
the use of a source
There are different factors such as author, purpose, reliability and relevance that will
lead to have direct affect over the use of source (Berdondini and Elton, 2020). It is essential
that source has proper information about the author and it clearly define the purpose of the
source. Selected sources should have accurate reliability and data in the source should have
proper relevance in order to get better and accurate information. Author, purpose, relevance
and reliability is significant for taking be using using credible sources which are correct and
accurate as per the information used.
