E-commerce is backed by a rich history that started with primitive electronic data
transactions in the year 1990 and since its inception it has gained popularity and is preferred
over offline shopping (Sharma and Lijuan 2015). In this paper e-commerce will be discussed
on and an e-commerce proposal on healthcare sector will be evaluated.
The steps that can be taken to build an e-commerce presence are:
1) Maximizing customer experience- As on these online platforms, products cannot be
checked physically therefore the site should provide detail description of the products or the
services.
2) Enabling easy search-ability- The users should be provided with a simple process so that it
helps them to search different products.
3) Be mobile-friendly- Customers should get straight-forward experience irrespective of the
devices they are making use of (Laudon and Traver 2016).
Some of the important considerations in case of developing e-commerce solution are:
a) Customization- This involves the color, design as well as the themes of e-commerce site
and also includes aesthetics along with navigation.
b) Performance- E-commerce site should not be slow as this will lead to loss of customers.
c) Responsiveness- This will help the users to view the products properly in smartphones and
add them to the cart.
d) Security- There should be security protocols for protecting users’ sensitive informations.
HealthBetter has a vital role to play in the promotion of health in the society. This will
