INTRODUCTION
A healthy community is the term which is defined as communities which are framed and are
initiating their health standards by being aware of the infections and diseases spreading (Mandel,
Broderick & et.al., (2019).
Thus, the report will analyze the impact of health issue Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) and
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) describing at the level of community and population.
Further, one key point where changes are made within community and population will be
identified by highlighting the role of nurse. An action plan will be implemented and framed
which will help in addressing the key area of change which will be taken education providence to
the community and population by utilizing the Health Promotion Planning Cycle (HPPC).

Impact of the health issue at the level of community and population
Impact - The Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) are the infections which include the
bacterial and viral infections which are passed through sexual contact which includes anal,
vaginal and oral sex. It is the most dangerous form of how the sexual disease is transferred to the
population and community through sexual contact and this is addressed as how the body reacts to
the disease and the infections which are caused. There is higher and large impact of how STI’s
are impacting the human body and are dangerous for the community and population to survive.
When a person is found in contact with such infections they are to be treated so that they are able
to take care of their body by taking medicines WHO, (2019). When the body reaches the stage of
having infections there are higher chances that they are facing problems and issues during the
sexual contact and due to which there is high risk to the body that the population and community
is transmitted the infections viral bacteria through sexual contacts. There is high impact of
infections due to sex when once they are transmitted in the body. The human body due to STI’s
can have problems and issues regarding infertility and sterility. This can further leave the body
more vulnerable by having HIV and numerous organ systems in the body are also infected and
affected.

The Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) are the viruses which can be passed when there is
blood infected in the virus enters the blood stream of another person. There are other various

types of BBV’s which affects the population and community and are considered as gradually and
slowly they enter into the human body and gets the person infected (Callander, Moreira & et.al.,
(2018). The body of the person is infected from the BBV’s also as it enters into the body by
infecting all the organs and spreads very quickly. There has been higher impact of the BBV’s as
it also infects the liver and immune system within the body at large scale. These are some of the
negative impacts which happen and occur to the person when having Blood Borne Virus within
the body.
PART B
On key point for changes in population and community by highlighting the role of nurse
There are certain changes which are analyze for population and community which are in
perspective and highlighting the role of nurse. There are certain changes which are to be
addressed in population and community regarding the health issue which is Sexually Transmitted
Infections (STI’s) and Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s). These changes within the population and
community are described as –
Changes in the Community – There are certain important and significant key points which
should be addressed for analysing and addressing the negative impacts and aspect regarding the
changes which should be seen in the community and that are as follows –
By providing special services of safety within the community so that the community is
able to intake the service and at large scale (Broady, Brener & et.al., (2020). This also
helps in knowing the needs and requirements of the community and people living within
the community. The services include suggesting the community to not have sex at all
regarding Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) and these services are provided by the
nurse living within the community.
Ensure protecting the body from the Blood Borne Virus by wearing PPE by nurse for
tasks and procedures in which the hazards are not affecting the body by entering through
the blood stream.
Providing safety devices while handling needles and lancets to the community by nurse
so that they are able to take care of their health.
These are the major change which should be taken place within the community so that the
people within the community are aware of the changes which are taking place and this is ensured

that how effectively and appropriately the community is being provided the services (Graham,
(2018).The people within the community are also aware of the change due to which there is
reduction in the diseases and infections such as Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) and
Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s). Therefore, these are some of the changes which should be
brought in the community.
Changes in the Population – There are also changes which are to be addressed regarding the
negative impacts and aspects which should be seen in the population. These changes are framed
and denoted as –
The nurses should provide education regarding the spread of Blood Borne Viruses
(BBV’s) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) to make aware the population so
that they are concerned about their health and safety at large scale (Graham, (2018).
The education regarding the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) should be provided
by nurses such that what are the negative effects of having unhealthy sex. The side effects
such as organs and internal parts of the body are affected should be provided information
about to the population the nurse.
These are some major changes which should be addressed by the nurse so that the population is
aware about the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) and Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s)
which are spreading at faster rate among the population. The education regarding the virus and
infections should be made aware of along with their proper treatments if the population is at risk
of having these major issues and problems related to health at large scale (Francis-Graham &
et.al., (2019).
The nurse should be able to provide all the essential information and details regarding the
spread of Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) as it is the
major concern of health and the change has to be brought among the population and the people
who are living and are concerned about their health. The nurses within different healthcare
sections are responsible for making aware the population and educating them about what is
meant by such infections and how fast they are spreading in the human body. This helps in
creating value for which education is provided to the population by making them aware about the
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) and Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) at large scale in
effective manner.

PART C
Developing an action plan regarding the health issue for the change outlined along with illness
prevention strategies by utilizing Stage 2 of the Health Promotion Planning Cycle (HPPC)
The action plan has been framed by analysing and studying about on key area of change which
has been highlighted is providing education to the population and community regarding and
making them aware of the Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) and Sexually Transmitted Infections
(STI’s) at large scale. With the help of education, the community and population is able to gain
knowledge and information regarding these diseases and infections which have been spreading
among the people and is affecting negatively the immune system and whole internal organs in
large manner. The action plan has been framed and noted by utilizing the Stage 2 health
Promotion Planning Cycle (HPPC) (Mazzoni & et.al., (2018). This stage consists of conducting a
situational assessment.
The Stage 2 in HPPC is – Conducting a Situational Assessment –
The main purpose of conducting a situational assessment is to address an issue which
affects the community and population at large scale. The situation assessment is done which is
based on gaining information regarding the risk of spreading of Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s)
and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) within community and population.
The Situation - The situation is addressed as community and population are unaware of such
infections and diseases which is making the community fall into the scale of having infected by
the Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) (Rumbold,
(2022).
What is making it better and worse – The providence of educating and making available the
services to community and population is making the situation better and what is making it worse
is that the people within the community and population are unaware of the negative effects of
risk of health issue spreading of Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) and Sexually Transmitted
Infections (STI’s).
Prevention Strategies for Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) and Sexually Transmitted Infections
(STI’s) –
Avoiding sharing of towels and underclothing.
Getting tested for HIV and having the doses of vaccines (Okeke, (2022).
Wearing appropriate PPE and masks.

Avoidance of all contacts with body fluid or blood.
Therefore, this is how the situational assessment is conducted for the community and
population regarding the health issue spreading of Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) and Sexually
Transmitted Infections (STI’s).
CONCLUSION
Thus, it is concluded from the above report that impact of health issue Blood Borne Viruses
(BBV’s) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) was analysed and described at the level of
community and population. Further, one key point where changes are made within community
