Response to Question 1:
Building relationships and care for the students are the two primary ideas that have
been associated with the readings and from the video clips. The video clips have benefitted to
understand that building healthy relationships between educators and students. They talked
about how students can interact with their educators by gathering useful connections,
appreciations and engaging a positive atmosphere. Thus in one video clip, our educator, Ms.
Pierson, has explained how she has grown up and how her teachers have treated her. Some
have supported her but some have failed to connect with her. Thus, she talked about an
effortless aspect that is “But one of the things that we never discuss or we rarely discuss is the
value and importance of human connection.” She has discussed how an interactive session
with all the children can create a positive ambiance and can benefit the students in their
learning processes (Pierson, 2020). It has been discussed that a small appreciation and
helping them to rectify their mistakes in their individual learning processes will help them to
secure high academic grades.
In another video, the educator has managed to incorporate his individual thoughts and
ideas. He has incorporated specific ideas like greeting them in their comfortable ways such as
high five, punching them in their hands, and making a butterfly so that they can get warm
while entering their individual classes (Youtube.com, 2020). It is quite beneficial to
understand that eye contact with the children, appreciating their tastes of clothing and
accessories and engaging them in playful activities will help them to learn adequate subjects
effectively.
Yet, all the readings will constitute several tips in order to engage better relationships
with the students. The teacher needs to become popular, supporting the students, encouraging

self-esteem, constructing goodwill, along with listening to the students about their queries
and issues (Nea.org, 2020).
Response to Question 2:
Specific ideas can be implemented in the present position, and they are gathering an
adequate structure, teaching enthusiasm, spreading a positive attitude, incorporating humor
into their lessons, and making lessons quite fun. The educators can apply a few strategies and
they are as follows:
Building up relationships does not start in only one day and it may take more days to
form a better connection with the students. Teachers can incorporate specific ways of
greeting their children, where they can encourage their students by caring about their
individual problems and by solving the issues together (Nea.org, 2020). The teachers should
try to appreciate all the students even if they cannot score well just like Ms. Pierson, who
gave a smiley on the paper of her student, who received two out of twenty. She taught her
students that every single person is allowed to make mistakes, and by giving a smiley, she
showed care and joy of writing two answers correctly. In this way, it helped her to form and
develop a better relationship with the student (Pierson, 2020).
Respectful Classrooms will allow the teachers to interact with the students effectively
and they will understand that there is a need for all the students to know them accurately and
cooperate with them during their hectic schedule (Nea.org, 2020). Thus, at this position, both
sides should deliver equal respect to each other and should cooperate in order to score well
and to form a basic understanding among themselves.
There has been another strategy that can be applied during the learning processes and
listening to the students and mixing with them. Teachers should allow their students to speak
and understand what they want to say and should be open-minded to receive feedback
