INTRODUCTION
Business environment is said to be the sum of the internal and external environment that
impacts the working of the organisation. Elements such as employee of the organisation, the
expectations and needs of the customers, technology, social trends and supply and demand are
the factors that impacts the working of the business. The largest sector that contributes in the UK
economy is construction. The contribution that construction company made is in billions with
covering wide range of the tasks that comprises 10% of UK employment. The construction
sector is considered as the investment led sector in which the government of the company has
high amount of interest. The contract made in the construction industry and the government in
order to improve the whole infrastructure of the nation whether it is health, education industry
and transport industry. The country UK have the high class experience in the field of
architecture, engineering and design(Awwad, Shibani and Ghostin, 2019) . This report is being
made in the context of Thames Tideway Scheme . The aim of this report is to highlight the
important construction project in UK that covers the environment comprised the stages that
involves the construction of the projects . It also provides the overview in respect to roles that
played by professional entities in the mentioned projects.
TASK
Various sectors in the built environment-
The build environment also known as the construction sector. This covers different
activities such as delivery of buildings, industrial sector and infrastructure. The construction
process starts from planning, financing and designing and this process continues till the asset is
ready for use. This sector promotes the economic growth in the country. The construction is
further classified into two categories that are; residential and non residential. This sector includes
the large public constructing works, bridges, dams, highways, railways, water and utility
distribution(BOMPIGNANO and GHIORZO, 2018). The industry construction includes mining,
quarrying, refineries, power mills, offshore construction, chemical processing, and
manufacturing of plants. Reference to the different sector is as follows;
