Definition and Description of Project goals and objectives
The project which is being considered is that of a bungalow and there are
modifications to be made in the bungalow according to the descriptions provided to us. It has
been mentioned that the bungalow should be constructed on the strip footings. The external
walls are to be made The goal of the project is to construct a bungalow with the provided
criteria. On the brick piers and the timber joists, the floor is to be tilled. The internal finish is
to be made after applying the platers on the brick and a last touch up of the walls of the
building is to be done using the emulsion paints. The roof of the building is to be tiled and the
timber-trussed rafters are to be laid upon which includes the external gutters for the systems.
The main objectives of the project are (Schwalbe, 2015):
To complete the project within a scope of 136 days.
To complete the project within a budget of $ 231,000.00.
To develop all the six rooms of the bungalow which is involved in the project.
To complete the project at all the scenarios and project is to be competed at 20% time
better than the given schedule and at most at 50% of the given schedule.
To perform an efficient cost management that would help the project to be completed
within an allocated budget.
The materials and the plants required for the supplies of the materials for the project
are to be ordered two weeks before the requirements for the progress in the next stage.
The labours are to be paid weekly and the payment for the suppliers and the plant
hires are to be made a payment on the 30-day traditional account system.
