Definition and Description of Project goals and objectives
The project which is being considered is that of a bungalow and there are
modifications to be made in the bungalow according to the descriptions provided to us. It has
been mentioned that the bungalow should be constructed on the strip footings. The external
walls are to be made The goal of the project is to construct a bungalow with the provided
criteria. On the brick piers and the timber joists, the floor is to be tilled. The internal finish is
to be made after applying the platers on the brick and a last touch up of the walls of the
building is to be done using the emulsion paints. The roof of the building is to be tiled and the
timber-trussed rafters are to be laid upon which includes the external gutters for the systems.
The main objectives of the project are (Schwalbe, 2015):
 To complete the project within a scope of 136 days.
 To complete the project within a budget of $ 231,000.00.
 To develop all the six rooms of the bungalow which is involved in the project.
 To complete the project at all the scenarios and project is to be competed at 20% time
better than the given schedule and at most at 50% of the given schedule.
 To perform an efficient cost management that would help the project to be completed
within an allocated budget.
 The materials and the plants required for the supplies of the materials for the project
are to be ordered two weeks before the requirements for the progress in the next stage.
 The labours are to be paid weekly and the payment for the suppliers and the plant
hires are to be made a payment on the 30-day traditional account system.
 The development of the schedule and the management of the costs are to be done on
the all scenarios that can be presented and three-point estimation technique is to be

used for the derivation of the details of the schedule plan and the budget estimation of
the system of development of the project.
 The payments are also not to be exceeded from the given figures which is $30 rate for
the labourers and $45 per hour for the tradesmen. The total work is also to base on 50
hours per week and not to be exceeded than that.
Project scope Statement
The project would help the construct on the strip footing (Heagney, 2016). The
project is being financed by the bank loan and the loan will be paid four –weekly after the site
inspections are done regularly for monitoring the project and approve the next step after
progress on a level is made for the project. The project has a scope of accepting loans from a
bank who would monitor the progress of the project and provide approval on the project and
provide feedbacks on the development of the project which would further assist in the
development of the project (Walker, 2015). However, any additional requirements are out of
scope of this project. The main elements of the project scope statement for this building
construction project are:
 Project Objectives: Project objectives are the goals which are the high level
statements which helps in the derivation of the overall context of the project and what
the developer of the project is trying to achieve with the delivery of the project and
the project objectives are to be aligned with the business goals of the organizations for
the whom the project is being developed. In the provided case study, the main
objective of the project is to develop the building according to the requirements and
the constrains indicated in the requirements.
 Deliverables: The project deliverables are the information, documentations and the
final output of the project. In addition to this, the deliverables which can be used for

the measurement of the efficiency of the products which can be developed from the
projects. The main services provided to the owner of the building in the scenario
which is being discussed in this report is the complete the building structure which is
to be developed according to the requirements provided for the case study.
 Milestones: The milestone is the tool that is used for the specific steps during the
schedule of the project which can be used as indicators for the progress of the project
and helps the project developer in evaluation of the project and plan each milestone
accordingly. For the project which is being discussed in this report, the main
milestones would be acquiring the details of the requirement, identification of the
current situation of the building, description of the processes required for the
development of the project and delivering the building in a developed form.
 Technical requirements: technical requirements are those which are involved with
the specifications of the project such as the length, breath in the case study as the case
is related with the building and construction field.
 Limit and Exclusion: The limits and exclusions of the project are the specifications
of the requirements of the project which is out of scope of the project can be
controlled. In the present scenario, the change in schedule due to any type of weather
condition is out of scope of the project.
 Reviews with the customer: The customer review is very important aspect of delivery
of the project. It is very important that the project is dependent on the review of the
and the house is developed according to the feedback of the clients.
