INTRODUCTION
Business analysis and planning refer to all the planning and analysis of the business which are
done to make the best out of the business and fulfil all the goals and objective. Business planning
is important so that when working in business it requires a proper planning which help the
business in getting the goals and objective completed. Planning help in maintaining the business
in the best ways. NHS is known as National healthcare Service, they are providing healthcare
services in all over the UK (Harrison and Association of University Programs in Health
Administration, 2016). NHS is a public funded system which is made to help and aware people
about the health and care. The report will address budget and budget making. The five-year plan
view will be discussed in the report and why the report format is chooses for presentation in local
authority. Report also explain the quantitative and qualitative data types and the ways of
similarities between them. The report will develop a 3year budget plan related to the service
plan.
TASK 1
A) Strategic relevance of the ‘NHS Five Year Forward View’
NHS: - National health services is publicly-funded healthcare system of the United Kingdom.
The founding principle are that service should be comprehensive and should be free at the point
of providing health services in clinical need and not ability to pay. This is one of those services
which provide health care to everyone who need them. Every healthcare service in UK works
independently and are accountable politically to government (Dwipriyoko, Bon and Sukono,
2019). When NHS purchase drugs, they have a separate and significant market for that, based on
fair values of drugs and influence global prices. The local authority in UK providing the best of
NHS in their areas and promoting the services. The district council are helping the district in
getting all the basic facilities to every person so that they feel safe and get the services they
required.
NHS Five year forward view: -
NHS five-year-forward-view on the elderly service are extreme important to them as they
provide all the services to every person even after hospital services which are one of the major
part of NHS services. The five-year-forward-view reflect process and working of NHS in future
related to their projects and task. The view of next five-year are focusing on the issue of elderly
services and the need to provide good services to the elderly people. The five-year forward view

measures and set plans accordingly to deliver responsive National healthcare services in UK.
They also need to adapt a lot of new ways to take advantage of opportunities which technologies
and science offer to the patient and the one who serve them. New ways in providing facilities to
the elderly people and services to them by NHS. One in every five person in UK is above
60years of age and the number is rising continuously. NHS is focusing in providing facilities to
the ageing population in UK. District council also make a lot of plans in there five year view to
enlarge the working of NHS in there district and providing all the services to every person.
The healthcare in UK have helped in advance of people in living longer than ever before. Health
services are important for the ageing people so that they can live longer and its important for
government in making new things and policies so that the NHS gets more strength and can help
people in ways which they require. Health issues in old age and elderly group is common and it
can cause serious issues to them which need to be considered (Waggoner, 2019).
The integrated care and support is essential and is made with 12 national partners signed, it is
done to enhance local areas and making them aware about the health and well-being and
bringing the local authorities together to work on this. NHS provide services of housing service,
education services, healthcare, public health and are taking everyone to take step towards
integration.
Relevance strategies of NHS five-year plan view: -
The strategies of NHS regarding the issues of elderly service in UK. Those strategies which are
provided by the NHS to the ageing population and elderly group people. Strategies help in
development of the NHS and helping all the elderly people in its development.
1. Supporting people in managing long term condition and living disabilities: -
Coordinated and personal health services needed to help people managing health
holistically as they are getting old they are facing a lot of issues which need people to
help them in all ways as possible. The financial helps and the help in hospitals and after
hospital care. It is important for them to make strategies to look for the relevance of the
plan they are looking in developing all the necessary stuff for the elderly people. The
elderly service from NHS is raising funds and developing new techniques so that they can
support all the people and target segment (Grünig and Kühn, 2018). The situation need a
good lookout as the research is showing that the elderly group age and the ageing of
people in UK is risen to high number and it requires a good support from government to

required support people in managing long term condition. Professional can help people in

2. Help people stay in Work: - it is important to work so that the physical health remain
good and does not get illness and issues (Collins and et.al., 2016). The health need to be
good and people should work even in old age and do some physical work which can help
the body keeping active. It will also improve in development of strength. Everything
depends on the condition of person and its physical strength. NHS should provide
information related to educating them to work and do exercises to remain fit for a long
period. NHS also adopt people with all the age group which is a good way in providing
employment. It includes those who are above 60 years and still they want to work so that
they will earn and stay in working process.
3. Safe and warm housing : - NHS need to play a role in providing a safe and worm
housing for the elderly people and ageing people. Unsuitable housing can impact in well-
being of the person which can impact in negative way. Working closely to social care and
rehabilitation and providing changes in the older people home and making there
environment positive. The environment affects a lot in the development of people so it's
important to make such atmosphere around them which can help in development of there
health and the NHS provide services to increase healthcare. Thinking different is
important as the trends and situations are changing and NHS need to provide more ways
in making things according to the trends. It is important to work with the culture and
making things work accordingly. Providing warm housing and safe environment so that
they feel safe and improve better & quick. Government are funding NHS to improve the
service for people and develop new safe home and housing.
4. After hospital services: - NHS provide services of health and safety to every person, and
they are providing health services, elderly people need a good support even after hospital.
The elder people need a care so that they be safe. After services are important in the
service sector as it is important to provide all the services in the best ways. Ageing people
need a good support from every one weather its mental or physical. Providing nurse to
those who does not have anyone in there family and are critical in situation. It is

important to them to have a good service of healthcare so that they do not harm
themselves after being alone. Taking good review and feedback and working on all the
necessary requirement people want to improve in services.
5. Near and dear ones: - it is important for old age people to have a good bond with there
loved ones and a support from there near and dear ones. NHS should arrange few ways to
make them in get together and helping them in getting variety of activities with there
loved ones. The mental relaxation is one of the thing which help in improving them
faster. Aged people need better mental and physical support than the younger ones.
Staying connected with the ones you like helps in making a good stability in health.
b. Summary on report: -
The report is being chooses because it is one of the best communication way and it helps in
explaining all the necessary details. Report gives consolidated and updated information and helps
in taking better decision and planning. Report also disclose a lot of unknown information on
particular topic (Benitez and et.al., 2019). The information of the report is reliable as the research
of the report is done in the best ways and all the necessary references gives proof of the report
and shows the reliability of it. Written communication is good and suitable for long distance
communication and repetitive standing order. The report is given to local authority as it gives
sufficient time to think and act react on the given topic. It's also a legal document and can be
used in future in any misunderstanding and critical situation. It is suitable also in providing
graphs, statistical data, diagrams etc. it is one of the ways in which the research can be explained
in border term. Also, gives a lot of explanation and are better to present in official and
professional way (Leeftink and et.al., 2020). Good written document also create goodwill and
promote business. In presenting of the annual report to the local authority as all the statistical and

understanding. Qualitative researches are collecting data which does not include numericals data
but to understand the concepts, opinions or experience in detail. Quantitative researches are
going to consist of investigation of systematic phenomena so that there are going to be right
measures which can be taken by the businesses in the market. This research is also going to
include data and statistics in the research for evidence so that there is going to be effective
understanding.
Qualitative
NHS is belonging from the health service industry which is why it is very essential for
the firm to have the right and quality information but the services and feedbacks from the
customers so that there is going to be improvement. When the designing and commissioning of
the healthcare service is going to be according to the patience, impact is going to be higher and
conditions as well as experience of the patience is going to improve. The problems are going to

to be controlled and monitored by the organization so that there would be higher performance

services include £42000. After the completion of the first year expenses will be calculated
around £199000 and the remaining amount will be £801000, which will be carried forwarded to
the next year opening balance.
