INTRODUCTIONBusiness environment is consisted with several kinds of the micro and macro componentswhich can highly influence to the business activities and function. While any business unit startand survive its business then it is very important to consider the various aspect and component ofbusiness environment. In the macro business environment consisted with macro factors such aspolitical, legal, social, cultural, economical, technological etc (Cantwell, Dunning and Lundan,2010). On the other hand micro business environment consist with micro factor such as supplier,employees, investors, competitors etc. In this project, business environment and its variouscomponent has been systematically discussed with respect of Marks and Spencer. It is one of themost leading retailer in the UK which delivers high quality of customer products like clothes,home ware good, accessories etc.P1 Objective of private, Public and voluntary organisation and their legal structurePrivate organisation consists of all profit businesses that are owned and managed byindividual. These companies are considered as small entity. In such types of firm owners'liability is limited to their shares. The organisation have 50 employees or even few shareholders.Business entity becomes independent legal structure when it incorporates its business. Marks andSpenser is a privately owned company. Virgin Media Offers various products such as clothes,home accessories, food products etc. The purpose of the firm is to maximised profit. Theobjective of organisation is to deliver good quality product at reasonable price. M&S has flatlegal structure. The company employees are burdened with a lot of responsibilities. The Flatlegal structure has allowed Manager to communicate and define clearly the roles asresponsibilities of each and every employees and functional department.Sole trader- The sole trader organisation are those which are owned and managed by singleperson. The purpose of the organisation is to increasing profitability and generate revenue. Suchtype of business unit provide specialised service to their customer.Partnership organisation- These commercial enterprise are generally managed by two or morepartners. The main objective of this kind of enterprise is to expand their business,The maincharacteristics of this form of business entity is that profit , risk and losses are being sharesd bypartners.Public organisation-Public limited enterprise is form of business entity that operates as aseparate legal entity from its owners. by government. The objective of this enterprise is to provide basic services to customer. Exampleof Public limited company is Primark which is the private company. It is a subsidiary of ABfood. The business entity is delivering various products such as clothes, accessories etc. Themission of the organisation is to provide satisfaction to consumers by offering them good qualityand wide range as well as variety products. It legal structure more influenced by companysuppliers.Voluntary organisation-The voluntary organisation is group of people that have common interestand objectives, These voluntary group are formed for the purpose of social welfare. Thevoluntary enterprise is one which relies on regular or occasional volunteers for its operationsmay or ca not have paid employees. These type of organisation are generally done not have legalstructure. Such business entity is generally established for charitable purpose. Child careorganisation are the example of voluntary enterprise. The purpose of this business unit is toprovide welfare, care and education to orphanage children.P2 Size and Scope of organisationThe size of M&S is referred to as the structural property that have some specialisedcharacteristics that includes talented and skilled large number of employee, high market sharestores and workers turnover. M&S is a multinational British company, operating in retailindustry in UK.Number of employees-Marks and Spenser has wide number of employees the company hasemployed estimated around Employees between 80 to 85 thousand employees including thosewho are working at upper level management. The organisation have estimated 84939 workerworking in its different retail stores that are located in many countries.Stores -The enterprise have estimated 1330 retail outlet worldwide. Its business has mainly twodivision That is food which contribute approximately 57 percent of their turnover rest percentageof income is generated by clothing and home accessories segments. The global revenue that wasgenerated by organisation in 2016 is estimated as 100 billion British pound. This revenue hasbeen generated from both domestic and international market. Wide range and variety of productsare being offered by company. M&S has 274 retail store in UK. The company is able to establishits brand image in market by offering good quality products.
