INTRODUCTION
Business environment has been determined as the internal and external environment of
the business. The business gets affected due to the internal and external factors and therefore, it
is highly important to study the business environment in proper manner so, the negative impact
of the factors can be reduced (Cherunilam, 2021). The current assessment is based on the JD
sports; the company is British sports fashion retail company which is established in UK. The
report will provide the information about the sub-sectors and the different types of the
organization, growth of the international business environment and the market size. Along with
this, report will shed a light of the fact sheet of the selected business and relationship between the
interrelationship of the departments. Furthermore, different business structure will be described.
MAIN BODY
Sub-sectors and the type of organization
The sports industry is mainly concerned with the three type of organizational sectors
which are- public, non-profit and commercial. There are sub-sectors has been created within
sports industry which varied the organization in form of their operations. It has been found from
various studies that, sports industry is parted in different sector and the functions of the sports
organization is based upon that. Here are the major types of sub-sector
Public sector
This are those sports organization which has been supported and owned by the
government. The government assure keen focus over these organizations for creating a better
sport environment for the public. Government provides sports facilities to the public such as-
recreation of the centres, park spaces and grounds (Jacob, 2019). The JD sports is the public
limited company and therefore, it falls under the category of public sector. The sports recreation
programme has been developed by the organization that can provide opportunity to the people
for taking part in sports.
Non-profit sector
Non-profit sector has been determined as that sector which focus on the betterment of
society rather than making profit (Nguye, 2019). The non-profit sports organization supports the
committee in terms of learning about the sports rather than making profits. The international,
national and local level of sports organization comes under this. As these organizations launch
