INTRODUCTIONBusiness environment refers to the various factor which has great impact on theproductivity of the firm. It includes the internal and external factors which affect the overallperformance of the enterprise. Internal factors such as customer, supplier, shareholder andemployees and external factors includes technological, political, legal, social and environmentalfactors which cannot be control by the organisation (Hamilton and Webster, 2018). Report willdefine the various types of the organisation and their scope and legal structure. It will alsohighlight the interrelationship between various factors of the firm and how they link to theorganisational structure. Study will present the effect of macro environment on the businessoperation and also define how they link to the strength and weakness of the enterprise.TASK 1 P1. Different types of the organisations and their purposesThere are three major types of business which comprise sole proprietor, partnership andlimited liability company. Every types of business are formed and managed in different way.Individuals involved in Sole Proprietor type of business are also known as sole trader. Theses arethe type of enterprise which are owned and managed by one person and there is no legallimitation to owner or business. However, partnership type of business is an arrangement ofbusiness in which two or more individuals come together who share profits and management. Inthis partner are equally responsible for making business decisions. Apart from this, there islimited liability company which are distinct and separate legal entity. LLC get a taxidentification number, open bank account andrun a business with own name.Public sectorIt includes all the business and organisation which are accountable to government. Thecontribution of government in the company’s capital is more than 51% and organisation aremonitor and controlled by the central and local government. It emphasises on providing serviceswhich can benefited for the entire society. This type of firms plays an important role inunderdeveloped countries in terms of delivering public services to local communities. The main purpose of the public sector firm is to provide the public services to thecustomers rather than earning a profit. Public sectors firm also create the employment for thelocal communities for improving their life style. For example, public sector firm such asNational Health Service provides a high-class health system and services which is based upon

the clinical need rather than on the ability to pay. The NHS do not aim to make the profits(Prajogo, 2016). The legal structure of the public sector company, it includes the company in which atleast the 51 percent of the paid-up capital is held by the central or partly by the state government.In this sector companies are governed and ruled by the provisions of the companies act. Publicsector companies are managed by the board of directors which are elected by the governmentand other stake holders.Private sectorIt includes those companies that are not run by the government and they are considered asthe part of the country’s economic systems which is run by the individuals and company ownerswith the intention to gain higher level of growth in the market place. Shareholder of the companyare the important part of the business operations. Each of the shareholder has the limited liabilityfor the company’s debts as well as profitability.The main purpose of the private sector organisation is to earn or maximise theprofitability of the firm. To improve the level of sales as well as market share through providinggoods and services to customers. The ultimate motive is to increase the profit without lookingwelfare of the local communities (Bason, 2018). The legal structure of the private sector firms, the company is run by the board ofdirectors who are nominated by the shareholders. Before forming the private company, a numberof legal documents must be completed such as memorandum of association and the article ofassociation which includes various information regarding objective of the business, amount ofcapital and the arrangement for auditing the account of the business. Voluntary sectorIt is different from other two sector firms because it includes the non- profit organisation.It is also considered as the important part of the economy which consist of non-profit makingorganisation. The main objective is to provides the various services which protect the human beingsfrom the health issues. To prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergenciesthrough utilising the power of the volunteers as well as the money of donors.

The legal structure of the voluntary sector firm, in this organisation are registered to thecharities act 2011 and charities and trustee investment act 2005 and are partially regulated by thegovernment bodies (Leyden and Link, 2015).P2. Size and scope of different types of the organisationEvery type of organisation has its own Size and scope which has great impact on itsproductivity as well profitability.Size and scope of public sector firmPublic sector firm such as National Health service which provides a comprehensive rangeof health services to the communities of the England. It was established in 1948 in the Englandand the founding principle of NHS is to provide the services that should be universal and free atthe point of delivery. The employs around 1.6 million people in its organisation across theUnited Kingdom. It provides it services in the England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Itdeals with 1 million people in every 36 hours. The NHS can grow and earn more profit thoroughimproving their organisational services which can be possible by increasing the quality care ofthe people which includes fetal diagnose of congenital heart disease and care of children andusing people (Bowman, 2016.).Size and Scope of the private companyThe private company such as Jaguar Land Rover is the largest car manufacturingcompany of the United Kingdom which was founded in 2008 at Coventry, UK. It produces theluxury vehicles and off-road vehicles. It has 43, 224 number of the employees. It provides itsproduct and services across the world. The total revenue of the company in the 2017-2018 is2580 Crore. The scope of the company as it is announced that all new Jaguar and Land rovermodels launched from 2020 model year and will have an all-electric and power-train optionswhich results in higher productivity and best qualities products.Size and scope of voluntary firmsThe voluntary firm includes the International Red Cross is founded in 1854 for providingvarious public services with the aim of not earning profit. It has 17 million volunteers in itsorganisation which provides their services at the global level. The total revenue from donation

till 2018 is $3,608,002,096. It can improve their organisation through providing the informationin front of public about their services and activities for attracting more donors and volunteerstoward their firm (NA and Berry, 2016).M1. Size and Scope of the organisation are linked to the business objective of the organisationThe objective of the business is based on the size and scope because objective is set bythe company according to the size and scope of the firm. If the scope of the company is to servetheir services at the national level, then they will set their business purpose accordingly. Anorganisation also set their Scope and Size according to the product and services which leads tothe higher level success of the company in the market place (Isaak, 2016).P3. Relationship between different organisational functions and how they are link to theorganisational objective and structureThe Jaguar Land Rover company follow the management structure in their businessoperation. The functional management structure of company includes the people with similarknowledge and skill are grouped together in the one function which leads to the efficiencies inthe productivity. The business operation of Jaguar and Land Rover is co-managed by the president andDeputy president which are appointed by the shareholder of the enterprise.
