Introduction:
Considering the current business scenario a huge interference of technology has been
observed which has enhanced our daily activities as well as helped to enhance the services
qualities of business. Followed by this concern it is identified that in the field of business,
information technology holds a major impact that has helped to enhance the customer
satisfaction as well as the service quality (Gelinas, Sutton & Federowicz 2019).
In order to discuss the nominated scenario this paper has selected two organizations
which has implemented information technologies into the business infrastructure. One of the
organization is Integrated Telecom Company and another one is the Al Muhaidid. One of the
business offers Telecom business and another one serves online retail services to its customers
respectively. While analyzing the business infrastructure it is determined that these organizations
has implemented information technology into their business infrastructure with the purpose to
enhance their services by making it more accurate and effective for their customers. It is also
identified that Integrated Telecom Company has is one of the largest telecom service present in
Saudi that offers services to government as well as semi government organizations (Senft,
Gallegos & Davis 2016).
Thus, with the purpose to get a detail idea about the influence of technologies into these
businesses in the below section a brief discussion on data governance and the impact of
technologies will be discussed.
Data Governance and its impact:
Data governance is nothing but the practice of managing business information by using
centralizes operations. The data governance process includes the data collection and data

protection strategies as for any business information is one of the assets that influences the
effectiveness of the business services (Ladley 2019).
Followed by this discussion it is identified that in the field of business data governance
has significant impacts that supports the decision making process of the business as well as the
internal business activities. These processes mostly helps to enhance the customer services as
well as the business values that improves the business growth and enhances the productivity of
the nominated business. While considering any business that serves public services it is
identified that an advance utilization of data governance into the business structure holds a major
impact on data privacy as providing security to the customer data is one of the key services of
any IT enabled business (Alhassan, Sammon & Daly 2018).
Along with the offered benefits it is also observed that it is very important to use data
governance in a wise way as a misuse of data governance can cause significant risk into the
business structure that includes the risk related to reputational risk, financial risk as well as other
security related risks.
Implemented technology:
Followed by the above discussion in the business infrastructure of Al-Muhaidb it is
identified that in Saudi Arabia the nominated organization retails industrial commercial, food as
well as other products. This organization is one of the oldest retail company which has recently
incorporated information technology into its business infrastructure. Into the business
infrastructure it has implemented CRM, data collection technology as well as data monitoring
technology. Along with this it has also implemented ERP system into its business infrastructure.
