1.Introduction
An entrepreneur is primarily an individual with a number of attributes and qualities,
but also with possibility of continuous personal development. Passion,
innovativeness, the ability to improvise and the strong desire to succeed are qualities
that define a successful entrepreneur. The aim of this informal report is to write
profiles of three successful entrepreneurs highlighting the personal qualities,
knowledge and behaviours that have led to their success in their chosen field. To
achieve this, aim the report is organised into two major section. Section-1 mainly
focuses on the profiles of three entrepreneurs and these are: Mark Zuckerberg, the
co-founder of Facebook; Dan Isai, the founder of Salad Box in Romania and Bill
Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft. Second section is the summary of the key
findings from the entrepreneurial profiles that includes the most important factors that
were critical to their success.
SECTION-1: Biographical profiles of three entrepreneurs
Profile -1: Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984, in Withe Plains, New York .He laid the
foundation of the world's most successful business, since he was a student when he
created “Facebook”, which has its bases on social networks, a product much loved
by billions of internet users. (Zuckerberg, 2016).
Relied on his knowledge and skills, in 2004, Zuckerberg really set up his future
Facebook company. The idea for Facebook was in Mark`s mind in his days at
Phillips Exeter Academy. The entrepreneurial orientation made Mark Zukerberg
identify the ways to transform his ideas into opportunities. All started with a
photo album, with the contact details of those who appeared in it. His visionary
approach and determination guided him to develop a social networking site to
connect people from different corners of the world at low cost. This idea was not only
to connect people, but he also adopted all business-related aspects that an
entrepreneur adopts before starting a company.
Facebook began to enjoy tremendous success. With the expansion and success,
Mark moved the operational base to Palo Alto, California in June 2004. He managed
to attain the position of a national student network phenomenon ,but unfortunately he
dropped out of Harvard University and he followed his dreams and ran his own
company (Zuckerberg, 2016) .
Since school, Mark was an eminent student, considered a genius by his teachers,
due to his involvement and devotion to science and especially computers. With
these qualities and many more, Mark Zuckerberg developed this successful global
business from a dorm room, currently with an estimated fortune of $57 billion (Davis,
Maida and Saalfeld, 2017)..
All the skills and characteristics of Mark listed above, shows that from an early
age he has had an entrepreneurial orientation that assisted him in
accomplishing his goals and made him a billionaire at the age of 23, when many
