INTRODUCTION
Business environment refers to managing the overall activity of the business such as
fulfilling the customer needs and demand and also managing the supply and demand of the
company. So that through this aspects, they are managing the company integrity in better
manner. The environment of business depends upon identifying the company integrity through
attempting the internal and external factors which resulting in getting or analysing the better
productivity of the business (Antikainen and Valkokari, 2016). Present report is based upon the
Marks and Spencer which is a multinational retailer companies having headquarter in London
and also deal in clothing, home products and other food related products. The company is
founded by Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer in 1884 which carrying the different and unique
products which is not available in market or are differentiate from the existing products. It is
examined that around 80,787 employees are carrying the business at global level and also
achieving many success through their products and services. It is also listed on stock exchanges
and also had currently deal in 959 stores across UK and out of which 615 stores are related to
food and eatable products.
Report will includes the different types of business such as public, private and voluntary
and also its various factors are to be identified through this aspects. It also includes the
interrelationship with various functions engaged within the organisation and also they link up
with its organisational structure. It further includes the various factors which determining the
external factors which affecting the organisation at larger scale. Lastly the report ends up with
examining the internal strength and weakness which identifying the specific objectives of
business and through this factors it helps in examining the interrelationship with the external
environment.

Explaining different types of organization in the context of international business environment
Private: Private organisation refer to such organisation whose shares are not offered to the
general public and they are bound under the legal authorities which is authorised by government
to follow the norms and instruction. Private organisation can issue stock and also have
stakeholder through which they can raise funds in the company (Huang-Horowitz, 2015). They
can also owned partly by government and also if they had to conduct any duty, they had to take
the approval from government. Usually private sectors is mainly managed by the shareholders

such as owners, individual persons or any other person who had the capability to run the business
through their effectively. The main purpose of private sectors is to earn profits and enhances the
investors’ interest by presenting the more stable financial statement to fulfil the needs of public
in right manner (Demil and et.al., 2015). For e.g. Marks and Spencers is the private company
which is partly run by government norms. As they carry various rights regarding managing the
overall business activity relating to expanding the business or promoting any goods and services
to other country. They carry the renowned brand name thus they can manage the fu8nds through
banks or also issue shares to manage the funds in effective way.
Public: Public organisation refers to such organisation through which they equally
managed the company integrity by raising funds from the public. They are wholly managed by
the government norms and also they had to undertake various norms before establishing any
business activity. The main purpose of public company is not to earn profits as that of private
company. Their main purpose is to maximises shareholders values by providing the more quality
services and also fulfil their needs in better manner (Moroni, Arruda and Araujo, 2015). For e.g.
in case of BBC company, they are public limited company situated in London. They are
considered to be one of the oldest broadcasting organisation engaged with large number of
employees carrying their business.
Voluntary: It is also called as union organisation which main function is to be carry certain
right to the citizen of the country so that their rights are protected and secure to face any issue or
barriers (Ji-fan Ren and et. al., 2017). They are mainly concerned with the group of individual
which joined business to achieve the common goals. The main purpose of the voluntary
organisation is to help people to settle their life through providing food, clothing, shelter or any
other basic amenities. Their main purpose is not to earn profits but also to manage the life of the
people through organising any charity function or any donation camp to manage the life of the
poor people in better way. For e.g. In case of Oxfam organisation which is related to non-profit
organisation dealing in services providing various basic amenities to the needy people to
managed their life in better way.
