INTRODUCTION
The management can be defined as process of dealing with or controlling things or people.
All the functions of management are emphasized on attaining the task in a enterprise. In this
report,various aspects of management and operations will be studied in the context of Accenture. In
this report, difference between leadership and management will be provided. Thereafter, analysis of
management by objective process will be given. Thereafter, leadership trait theory and style of
leadership will be discussed (Audi, 2012).
TASK

The term management can be defined as method involving planning, organizing, staffing,
directing and controlling the efforts of employees to attain the defined objectives in company. The
management play important role in Accenture as it assist in completion of important task (Anderson
and Anderson, 2010).. On the other side, leadership is the efficiency of a organization management
to make effective decisions and encourage other to get best performance. Since, leadership help in
the accomplishment of the goals of company it is very important.

There is significant amount of difference between leadership and management functions.

Management by objectives can be defined by the peter Ducker is a planning system that
needs each executive to participate in the total planning procedure by involving in developing the
objectives for its own division and for higher levels in the company. Since, it enable the employee
and executives to have proper discussion and reach accord on performance objectives it results
into improvement in overall communication process. The MBO process emphasis more on actual
results. Goal specificity, action planning, self control and periodic review etc. are main elements of
the MBO program.

In accordance with the theory provided by Mintzberg, there are three major roles that are
performed by the managers. They are further discussed as follows:
Interpersonal roles: The manager play important role in leading by motivating employees,
working as figurehead and liaison officer (Cadbury, 2006).
Informational Roles: The manager help in administrations by scanning the work
environment, disseminating information and being spokesman.
Decisional roles: The manager assist in taking effective business decisions. It further assure
proper resolution of conflict, allocation of resource, entrepreneur and negotiator.

Leadership traits means presence of certain characteristics that help a individual in
becoming excellent leader. Such as, self confidence, active listening skills, good communication
skills, vision and positive attitude etc. The leadership styles are
Directing leader: It is kind of leader that develop goals, ascertain the issues, provide
solutions, divide work and provide clear direction. In addition to this, it have close
monitoring on the work performed by employee for further evaluation ( Chell and et.al,
2014).
Supporting leader: It is leader which emphasis on the participation of employees in
resolution of issues and goal setting. It assure proper support is provided along with
necessary resources and guidance to facilitate the members in performing the allocated task
effectively (Ciulla, 2013).

other things of the same kind. In order to sustain in present competitive world, it is important for
company to maintain proper quality of work. There are 4 costs of quality that further consider
safeguarding against risk, internal and external failure, appraisal ( Burneett, 2013). The value of
prevention develop from the attempt to prevent the defects from happening and it also consider the
quality training for employees. Further, the cost of appraisal is another aspect which consider
spotting of the defects by inspection and scrutiny. Internal failure happen due to the shortcoming in
internal working and when the goods and services with such imperfection reaches to the final
buyers it is reasoned as the external defects (Ciulla, 2013).

Total quality Management can be defined as system of management that relies on the
principle that each member of the company must be committed to maintain superior benchmarks of
the work in each aspect of organization operations. The manager play dominant in implementing the
total quality management approaches (Paton, and McCalman, 2008). It further assure proper
participation of employees in maintaining the quality standards of business. It further consider the
quality needs of customer and communicate employees what is expected from them. In this respect,
quality goals are set by manager so as to assure satisfactory quality and consistency in work.

elimination of all wastes and on constant modifications in the productivity. It is important approach
that help in getting appropriate quantity of products at right place and proper time. The benefit of
JIT is that it facilitate constant improvement of every operation. On the other side, waste relates to
